The Philemon Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting graduate students facing extreme life circumstances, with a particular focus on undocumented and first-generation students. Founded by immigration attorney and author Jose R. Campos, the Foundation provides stable housing and critical support to students pursuing advanced degrees despite systemic barriers. The Foundation published Surviving The Law to share Jose R. Campos’ personal journey and to elevate the experiences of undocumented students pursuing higher education. Publishing this work aligns with the Foundation’s broader educational mission and commitment to increasing access, visibility, and understanding around the challenges faced by immigrant and undocumented communities.
