Briar & Ash Books is the imprint of Briar & Ash Publishing LLC, dedicated to historical and upmarket fiction that explores resilience, endurance, and the complexity of human experience.
The name reflects the kinds of stories we publish. Those in which beauty and hardship coexist, where struggle leaves its mark but also makes us stronger. “Briar” evokes the thorns we encounter; “Ash” is what remains after the fire: the place where new life takes root.

I welcome requests from engaged readers of historical, upmarket, and women’s fiction.
Priority will be given to reviewers with a consistent history of thoughtful, timely feedback and a strong NetGalley review ratio. Reviews on NetGalley and cross-posting to Goodreads and/or social platforms are strongly encouraged.
I am especially interested in connecting with readers who are drawn to character-driven, emotionally rich stories centered on women’s history, particularly those that explore resilience, moral complexity, and the impact of history on individual lives.
