Steerforth has enjoyed a productive and evolving relationship with Pushkin Press, selling and distributing their books via Penguin Random House. Titles will appear from Pushkin as well as from Steerforth.
Since 1994, Steerforth Press has sought to publish books that are written well, intended to engage the full attention of the reader, and have something new or important to say. Our current program focuses exclusively on works of narrative nonfiction.
Pushkin Press publishes the world’s best writing – everything from timeless classics to the urgent and contemporary. Founded in 1997, our list encompasses novels, non-fiction, crime, children’s books, classics and more.

Approval Preferences
Preference is given to reviewers who have a good Feedback to Approval Ratio or who have an explanation for their low ratio in their Bio. Librarians, Booksellers, and Media Professionals are welcome with lower ratios, but should list their outlet in their profile.
As our titles come from multiple imprints with various levels of sensitivity, you may not be approved or denied for all titles. Do not feel discouraged from requesting other titles from us in the future, especially if you have improved your ratio or profile!
Please note that we provide titles to NetGalley in PDF format, and NetGalley convert the files to Kindle format. When you download a title to be read on a Kindle, you are not using a final file. Please do not cite formatting concerns in your public review without comparison to a finished file!
