Liz was born in London. After graduating from university with a Law degree, she moved to California for six years. There she led a varied life, from waitressing on Sunset Strip, to working as secretary to the CEO of a large Japanese trading company, to returning hired cars to their original locations, to helping with studio tours at MGM. Real life eventually intervened and she returned to the UK, completed a London University degree in English and then taught for a number of years before giving up teaching and starting to write full-time. In a Far Place is Liz’s fifteenth published novel. In addition to being an active member of the Historical Novel Society and the Romantic Novelists’ Association, Liz’s interests are theatre, travelling, reading, cryptic crosswords.
