Do you know Texas? The Lone Star State attracts people from all over the world—even little monsters! Did you know that? Monsters are masters of camouflage who can easily hide in plain sight. They tip their hat to the State Capitol in Austin, blend in with the crowds visiting the Alamo and even patrol the canyons of Palo Duro Canyon State Park. This is an excellent picture book, I really enjoyed it and it will definitely be a firm favourite. I love the facts that the book holds as well as the fun games to find the monsters - 5 stars |

This book is part of a series of books for children, combining fun facts and illustrations about various historic or recreational locations with a search for monsters hidden in the images. The monsters are not too difficult to find, but seem to be appropriate for the target audience. The nice thing about this book is the appeal it has to a wide range of readers--those who only want to find the monsters and those who are interested in learning more about the places. It would be perfect as a summer gift to a family traveling to Texas (or the other places in this series). I especially like the little monster at the edge of each page telling readers how many monsters are hiding on the pages. Great job with illustrations as well, as they are appealing. |

Being a native Texan, I had to download this book to read with my children during our camping trip Needless to say you had me at hello, or "Texas" to be exact. This book was cute, and my four-year-old was entertained with looking for and finding the monsters. My nine year old who is a Texas history aficionado said he would have enjoyed it more if you would have included more Texas monster folklore in the book along with the geographical information. But he too also enjoyed looking for the monsters and the illustration. From the adult perspective, I did enjoy helping them look for the Texas monster's, but I felt the story came off as more of a brochure about Texas and surrounding neighborhoods than a story about Monsters in Texas. Would I read this book again? Yes. Would I purchase a copy for our home library yes. Because I am fond of literature about my beloved state of Texas. Bottom line, great work, but it needs more Texas Monsters. |

This book looks like a cute one. We Texans are pretty proud of our state and I know my 8 year old twin boys would definitely love to read this cute little book. Anything at all about Texas would intrigue them, but the cute monsters would seal the deal. Thanks for the sneak peek! |

I read this book with my 8 year old daughter to see what her opinion would be. She is a little beyond the look and find stage but she still absolutely loved this book as well as the rest in the series. She thought that it is a great book for little kids because it was a fun book that taught you stuff too. I would totally buy this book for my nephews and nieces. We had fun pointing out the monsters and we also learned some new facts along the way. |

Review to be posted 07/14/17 This was my favorite. Its artistic style was different from the other two, and I far preferred it. At first, I didn't think it was fair to give the whole state one book… but by the end, I was trying to figure out just how long a vacation we'd need to hit all the sights shown in the book and then some. And for someone who'd previously never desired to go to Texas (I've read about your summer heat…) that is the highest praise imaginable. |

A quick jaunt through a very large state. This kids travel book highlights the best places to visit in text. But beware, monsters are everywhere. Added Goodreads Added Litsy |

What a great way to introduce children to the history and landmarks of Texas. The illustrations are bright and colourful. Some of the monsters are harder to find but that's all part of the fun of it. I enjoyed this search and find book a lot. |

Texas gets the Little Monsters treatment. This covers a good assortment of the state's cool places. As always, would be a good gift for someone small who is heading that way--although since we're talking a huge state here, it will be a lot more trouble to cover all the sites here than on a similar Little Monsters trip to Boston or New York. |
