This small (65 page) book is an excellent resource for people who eat on the go or who would like to start taking food to work v.s buying lunch every day. The recipes are pretty basic and many can be made the night before.and the majority of the meals are very healthy. This is probably a perfect gift/book for a teenager who is starting to explore healthy cooking on their own. I really like this book. The recipes are very accessible and easy to make. I love the way it is separated into sections of timings for making; night before or quick fixes for example. It is very likely that I will be making up quite a few of these recipes. A great addition for those looking for new ideas for superfoods and powerfoods. |

Beautiful cookbook with great ideas and recipes and nice pictures. I really like how this book gives you the options of making it right now, the night before or even generally preparing it a little while ahead. I think that is a wonderful way to structure this type of book because really everyone can use this book in some way. It is however a really healthy book- i personally love that about it- but there are also people i personally know that would not find that many recipes in this book that they would love to try simply because of the overly healthiness of the recipes. And while i understand that it is Power Food on the go, i also think that it would have been nice to include a few recipes that are still Power Food but also a bit less extremely healthy so that it actually caters to a few more people. Still its a great book and has wonderful ideas! |

I Loved Loved Loved this great book of recipes. It has given me and my family of adult children a new lease on food and it has helped me get interested in cooking and eating healthy. From Pancakes to Quiches and portable desserts like muffins we have had great food on the go and have done away with the handy tasteless takeaway food. We have saved quite a lot of money which can be spent on good healthy food from the farmers market. |

I just finished reading through this book. The pictures are nice and bright and the photos of the food are well done. While my diet is more restrictive than these recipes are, the recipes are very healthy and the combinations of the ingredients look tasty. Most of the ingredients can be picked up at a regular grocery store. These are good "make ahead" meals and snacks to take to work, on a picnic or to just eat at home. |

I am reviewing this book for Rens Kroes, Quarto Publishing Group, and NetGalley who gave me a copy of their book for an honest review. Lots of delicious and healthy recipes are included. I liked it as they wouldn’t break the bank or have you sourcing unusual ingredients as some books do. The recipes are simple to follow and the photographs are great. There are so many recipes which could be made in advance and taken to work so to me this was a bonus. Despite this I didn’t spot anything out of this world and which can’t be found in other books. Yet a few of the recipes did make me think ‘yes, it’s time I made that again’. I wouldn’t buy it for someone with a collection of cookbooks already but I would for teens / young people who are starting off for themselves. |
