I love learning about new things so I was super excited to receive a copy of this book from NetGalley.

The Art of Distilling is a fairly dense book, despite being short, the paperback version is supposed to be 176 pages. My digital ARC was 86 pages.  Still I learned a lot! Before reading this book I didn't realize that the Dutch were the first people to make gin, I had assumed it was a British invention.

There is a lot of technical jargon that has to do with distilling, so at times I found myself either confused and lost. Which was annoying but it didn't take away from my reading experience too much. I still really enjoyed learning all about distilling and booze.

I don't think I would buy this book for myself, but I'm glad to have read it and I would recommend it to people who are interested in learning more about these topics. I gave this book 4 stars on Goodreads.
