Description

An uplifting handbook for living in each moment as positively and presently as possible - written and illustrated by Instagram sensation Dani DiPirro, who, after years of struggling, figured out how to make the most of each day and now shares her tips with others to help them enjoy life more, too.

'Happiness is available to us right now, and Positively Present helps us shift our thinking and awareness to access it. I'm a huge fan of Dani's work.'
Lori Deschene, author and founder of tinybuddha.com (close to 3 million monthly readers)

In this practical guide to remaining optimistic in tough times, social media hit Dani DiPirro expands on content from her popular online platforms, exploring how to be more 'positively present' in all aspects of life and providing specific, action-oriented suggestions to help achieve goals such as creating a nurturing home, building a fulfilling career, developing great relationships, learning to appreciate true love and having the courage to really embrace change.

The book contains more than 30 practical activities relating to the key themes of home, work, friendship, love and change, which form the five main chapters in the book. There are also special features such as 'Positively Present Principles', a list of '52 Ways to Live in the Moment' and a range of typographic-led, mono illustrations that playfully highlight key messages.

All in all, this insightful guide provides a programme for increased everyday optimism that will help readers achieve an all-round more positively framed, 'glass half-full' kind of life.

This book is perfect for someone like me. I’m naturally a positive person, I’m not unrealistic; but I do lubbers to see the good in situations and this book helps to reassure me that I’m doing the best I can. It’s always important to have those reminders. Everyday might not be great, but there is something great in everyday. I enjoyed the upbeat message this book gave and I would highly recommend it for people who aren’t sure how to maintain positivity. For those people who have no idea where to start at simplifying their lives. Great read!

Everyday Optimism by Dani DiPirro is a fantastic guide to being, as she calls it, "positively present." This is the name of her personal mission -and blog-- and while I haven't read any of DiPirro's writing, I do love seeing her artwork on Instagram. Having a mindful and positive outlook is something I believe in and am always trying to do better in my everyday life, and this book is the perfect read for someone wishing to gain momentum in this area or see overall positive changes in their life.

This book is filled with practical advice on how to live "positively present" in every area of your life, from home to work, to relationships. There are so many exercises that you can start with immediately, and there are great online resources on the blog to print and work on as well. One of the main things that impede change for many seems to be not knowing where to start and not knowing how to take the first step, so it is great to see such realistic ideas.

The format is also logical and flows easily, while all circling back to the two words that started it all. This a wonderfully cheerful and insightful book that will be a great guide to anyone who could benefit from being more in the moment, and having a happier life as a byproduct of the mindset shift. I can't recommend this book highly enough, and I'm sure I'll be referring back to it often.

Many thanks to Watkins Publishing and NetGalley for the advance copy.

"There's something worth striving for that can be even better than happiness....And that is being what I call "positively present".

A cute, happy book full of practical tips on how to live a more fulfilling life by being positive and present in the moment. There are five sections in the book: Home, Work, Relationships, Love and Change. I found fascinating and very useful the last chapter on how to deal with Change as I couldn't have read it in a better time! (March 2020)
A practical book that you will pick up again and again for some inspiration and motivation!
