Description

One madman will change the United States forever.

Paige Turner is the epitome of a hungry reporter. An investigative journalist with her own weekly TV show, she hits well above her weight and is dogged in looking for the people responsible for America's disquieting surveillance apparatus.

Paige is charming, and can easily go toe-to-toe with any number of hard-boiled types. But when Paige receives a package describing a secretive billionaire, known only as the Architect and his plot to install himself as the supreme power of the United States, she may have finally bitten off more than she can chew.

The Architect's cabal are racing to patch leaks in its ranks, and to prepare for the execution of the vital five stages of its leader's plan. Paige makes rapid preparations to go public with the Architect's frightening scheme. But when people involved, including those close to her, start winding up dead, she has to confront the fact that whatever she does, the cost may be too high.

The only question is whether that cost will be paid by her or by the nation and the entire world.

Steve Jaffe's sixth novel, The Architect's Manifesto, will test your faith in your government and the men and women you've elected to represent you.

Chilling example of what is actually possible in today's America. It gave me chills reading this as the country falls apart on the news and social media. I don't trust journalists though so that is my biggest complaint, change her profession and this is much more believable.

This is the first time I have read a book by this author, Steve Jaffe. It has an interesting story line considering the current political situation in the US. The build-up of the plot I thought was quite interesting, the ending seemed a bit too abrupt for me but I really enjoyed it.

My thanks to NetGalley and BooksgoSocial for allowing me to read and review honestly.
