"Midwest Book Review: The first-person descriptions read with the drama of fiction and the excitement of journal writing ....

This travelogue is highly recommended reading for two audiences: those who would undertake a cruise to Canada's eastern seaboard themselves, and others who look for lively moment-by-moment ""you are there"" descriptions of the adventure.

The Book Review Directory: The Lockwoods write with fun, interesting detail, which brings their experiences alive for the reader. Because of the richness with which they describe the various places they visit, we feel like we're traveling with them and aren't merely receiving facts.

Reader's Favorite: Cruising from Boston to Montreal immerses the reader in the geography, history, and culture of each of the locations where the MS Veendam stops. ... Their accounts of stops made in Canada were marvelous."

Finally! I was once again able to enjoy a lovely cruise. I cruised from Boston to Montreal with my friends, Sunny and Al Lockwood. Full disclosure- at this time I must be content to be an armchair cruiser. However, reading the Lockwood’s latest travel book, “Cruising from Boston to Montreal” was entertaining and almost like a carefree sailing.

Subtitled, “Discovering coastal and riverside wonders in Maine, the Canadian Maritimes and along the St. Lawrence River,” the Lockwood’s friendly writing style is clear and informative. Sunny writes about their daily doings, and Al chimes in with his own warm and perceptive observations. They cover life on the ship, and the highlights of each port of call. They give just enough history and background to make you feel like you are there with them. Bar Harbor, Nova Scotia, Halifax, Montreal, Quebec City are all brought to life. (And yes, Prince Edward Island is still known for Anne of Green Gables.)

If you haven’t cruised before, their book will give you a good view of what to expect on board. If you haven’t been to this part of Canada, you will want to add this region to your travel bucket list. The Lockwoods have written other travel books and so I am planning my next trip with them. How does a cruise from Barcelona to Miami sound?

Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an advance digital review copy. This is my honest review.

A great trip report for those wanting to cruise the Northeast (which I do). I loved the personal experiences and the tips on what to do, where to eat and how to travel.

Thank you from NetGalley , AI & Sunny Lockwood and BooksGoSocial for the digital copy of Cruising from Boston to Montreal. This is my personal review.
For the past year I have been dreaming of taking a trip. This was the closest thing to actually being able to travel or take a cruise during this time. I have never been on a cruise anywhere and this gave me the insight to see what I could do on a Northeast cruise. I have always wanted to see this area and now with the help of this book I know what I can see and do.
The description of what they saw and telling the stories of history and facts about what is out there to discover made for a wonderful read.
I can not wait to pack my bags and take this amazing journey.
