Description

People are often unsure what to expect from jury service. Featured Reviews

A short but interesting book which gave an insider's account of jury service during COVID. The account of the background to the trial and what actually happened in and out of court was acute, well written and researched and fascinating. The author also provided a brief synopsis of Crown Courts and jury service. The case came alive owing to the quality of her writing and her eye for detail snd she knew just how far she was able to go in terms of describing the alleged crimes. There were some other observations on surveillance and other matters which seemed more like potential offcuts from her other books (which I will now look out for) and I failed to see their relevance to the main subject matter of this interesting and original book.
