Description

This smoldering Sheikh needs a scandal…

Sheikh Faidh Qadir needs to create a scandal—something so shocking that the senior council will declare him unfit to rule. It’s either that or marry a woman of the council’s choosing and remain Sheikh for life—the two things he wants least in the world.

When Faidh learns that Mina, the palace’s new pastry apprentice, is in his country illegally, he makes her a deal. Pretend to be his fiancée, help him create a scandal, and he’ll make sure her exiled father is pardoned for his crimes. It’s a simple arrangement. But the feelings she stirs in his heart are more complex than he could have imagined…

Mina Parks cannot believe she just agreed to a fake engagement. Faidh says the council will never accept Mina because her father is a notorious spy, and they’ll remove him from the throne. But first they need to convince everyone that they’re truly in love. Maybe all those public embraces and staged kisses were a little too convincing. Because Mina quickly starts to believe the fairy tale herself…

Are these two falling head over heels for real? Or is it all a cruel deception…

The truth of the matter is she loves her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her normal, day-to-day persona! Her bestselling books focus on strong characters and particularly women who aren't afraid to challenge an alpha male. Inspired after years of travel, her stories are set all over the world, from the tough streets of Russia to the beautiful beaches of the middle east.

Leslie fell in love with romance when she first picked up a scrappy, dog-eared romance book from her local library. She began writing soon after and the rest, as they say, was history. She now lives in a cozy cottage on the British coast and enjoys taking long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.

Thank you to net galley the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this especially before it comes out as I enjoy reading so much and giving feedback and watching authors grow.

First of all I’d like to say Leslie north is amazing and I’ve read so many of her books I think this is the seventh book I’ve read of hers and they just keep getting better I read another one from this collection and then I’ve read some of her cowboy books. Overall I think this book is amazing it all the points and it’s lived up to Leslie North name and I think that I will be reading more of the book she comes out with.

Sheikh's Pretend Engagement, is quite unique. Faidh want to advocate as Sheikh so his older sister can become Sheikha as it was suppose to be. As usual though a fake engagement leads to real feelings and something more. I love reading, Sheikh's Pretend Engagement.

This is Faidh and Mina’s story. Faidh doesn’t want to be sheikh. The only way to get out of being sheikh is to marry someone unsuitable. Mina is an apprentice to the head pastry chef in the castle. She is also an exiled traitor’s daughter. Faidh asks Mina to pretend to be his fiancée. That should surety get the council remove him from being sheikh. They pretend to be engaged until in turns into more. It kept my interest. I love Leslie North’s books.
