This story made me sad, happy, angry, content and anxious all rolled into 415 great pages. What more can a reader wish for? You can tell that Caryl McAdoo has poured her heart into this story!
Most of book covers their journey along the trails in wagon trains. There are a lot of lessons that can be learned from this story such as God's timing, joy from our sorrow, forgiveness and mercy. A book that can be read by all ages. Excited to continue to read about this families settling in Texas.
Not only a fabulously written historic story but a wonderful testament to our Lord. I love the characters, far from perfect and some a hard struggle to follow the path He chose for them.
I’ve read many books lately but this one was definitely one of the best. Tears and laughter. I appreciated the easy and practical way scripture was interwoven. Beautiful ending."
