Since owning a home and being in a somewhat rural area, I try to Google how to fix things before calling the professionals, especially since they charge a travel fee just to come out, adding to the expense.
Black and Decker's Complete Guide to Plumbing (8th edition) by Chris Peterson includes excellent visuals, such as the plumbing tools to have on hand. I will need to update my tool bag with some I don't have that are listed. And I like how the section is delineated, such as plumbing tools: cutting & prepping; plumbing tools: fastening & manipulating; repairings, etc.
The book is helpful in understanding plumbing issues. Though, some of the fixes are a bit over my head.
I would definitely recommend having this book on hand. A great resource.

Excellent guide to household plumbing from Black & Decker. Very easy to follow and understand. Great book to have in the house for reference
