Sacramento, California,

California's capitol has been converted into the Ward, a terrifying city-prison where even angels fear to tread. A sentence to the city-prison can best be described in one word: Life.

An ongoing gang war between a pyro-obsessed mafia syndicate, cannibalistic vikings, and a Roman-inspired death-cult threatens to destroy everyone in the Ward. Caught in the middle are Tango Primary Five, a fugitive from the military dictatorship that overthrew the former United States government, and the Angel of Death, a deadly woman who's far more than she appears to be.

As the war rages on, Tango Primary Five and the Angel of Death devise a plan to escape. For any hope of success, they must do the impossible: unite the Ward... or choose a side.
