Such a unique book, I loved the plot, and oh my god the characters we're so amazing!! I definitely will be recommending it!!

Lovelight Farms is just as wonderfully cheesy as it sounds. It’s a cosy Christmas romantic comedy featuring an adorable small-town (think Stars Hollow), witty dialogue, a Christmas tree farm, a hostile family of raccoons, delicious baked goods and endless amounts of hazelnut lattes.

It’s warm, fuzzy and surprisingly streamy Christmas caper that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. Yes, it’s slightly predictable but I couldn’t care less, in fact, it was exactly what I needed.

Stella Bloom is in dire financial straits. In order to save the Christmas tree farm she’s loved since she was little, she decides to enter a competition for the chance of winning £100k and a ton of publicity across social media for her struggling business. The only catch is that she’s lied on the application. In order for her struggling farm to seem like the perfect romantic winter wonderland she’d always dreamed of she said she owns it with her boyfriend. In steps her more than willing best friend Luka.

I’m not usually a fan of friends-to-lovers or miscommunication tropes (give me a morally grey villain any day of the week), but Lovelight Farms is the perfect mixture of the two. It’s achingly sweet to watch these two childhood friends slowly realise what everyone and their cat has already known for years – they are head-over-heels in love with each other.

Lovelight Farms is the perfect winter read! Romance readers will absolutely devour this steamy Christmas romcom. The plot was reminiscent of a hallmark movie and I really loved the main characters and their interactions with one another. This book is full of all my favourite tropes delivered in a way that felt entirely unique. Overall, I'm really looking forward to reading more books by this author.

One of the best friends to lovers I’ve read in a long time
How was this a debut! It was like a cosy hug in book form and j loved getting cosy and snuggling down with Stella, Luka and the Lovelight farm gang. The story had some real emotional depth to it as well as some humour, a bit of steam and a whole heap of friendship. It was a great small town friends to lovers story that half way though reading I new I had to own a copy and have preordered the next 2 in the series. Loved it and one of my fav reads of the year so far

I have seen this all over the social media channels so I was super excited to get approved for an eArc on NetGalley.

This book was exactly what I needed to read. It was super cute romance, with the friends to lovers trope.

The two main characters have been friends for years and both loved one another. It was cute seeing the two finally tell each other they loved one another and that they both felt the same way.

I like the secondary characters and am super excited for Beckett’s story.

Overall a really enjoyable read, the steam in this was so well done. It wasn’t over played and it was definitely spicy!

This was beyond cute.
Its books like these that just makes you root so hard for the friends to lovers trope. This book shows the trope in all its glory.
I loved the small town, the Business on the line and the years of yearning finally unveiled and turned into the best holiday romance book I’ve read in a while! Absolutely can’t wait to read the rest in the series!

Lovelight Farms is about Stella the owner of a Christmas tree farm. The place is in financial trouble because some bad have been happening. So Stella enters a contest in which she can win a lot of money and publicity. There is only one problem, Stella lied on her application about being in a relationship so she manages to convince her best friend Luka to be her fake boyfriend.

This was a lovely steamy romance set in a great small town. It had some of the best tropes. The main characters as well as the side characters were really great. I also liked the little bit of mystery added in.

Aside from one very specific book that made me believe in love, I’ve never been one for friends to lovers as it’s always seemed a bit monotonous for me - but this book might have changed how I feel about that.

B. K. Borison has such a way with words that kept me so consumed in the story, every time I picked it up I knew I’d get nothing else done. I’m usually someone who binge-reads something if I see it’s on the shorter side and it seems like I’m enjoying it when it starts, but I found myself taking my time with this and allowing myself to become completely immersed in the words that were so gorgeously compiled to portray the story as it was.

Stella and Luka’s story had me hooked from the start. The way they met was the most precious part of the story; how she desperately needed someone to be there for her and her quite literally jumped in and became just that.

The way their relationship transitioned from friends to lovers was so endearing and sweetly written, especially the way we see Stella slowly understanding and coming to terms with her feelings throughout the duration of their fake dating situation.

It’s not an exaggeration when I say this book and this whole series are my favourite ever books. I love the characters and this town and the beautiful way Borison writes that has you yearning for more (and for Inglewild to be a real place).
I will read anything and everything she writes. This book is so special to me and I’m so excited they’re getting a UK release!

This series is such a comfort series for me and I'm excited to see it in print! Stella and Luca have such a great friends-to-lovers arc and I love the entire world that this book is set in.

🎶 I’ll be hooome for Christmasss, youu can counttt on meee 🎶 as I tell you to not walk but run and get this book in your hands. Consider me fallen hopelessly in love with this book, with Stella and Luka, and the world that is the Lovelight series.

Did I read this holiday romance in the middle of April? Yes and, though I was given this awhile ago as an ARC, you can definitely still read this any time of the year. I believe this was self pub at first and it got acquired by a traditional publisher. I’m not surprised at all, the story and the writing are done so well. This was an immediate 5 star read for me, and I don’t know what to say for the other books yet but I do know how the writing can transport you into the story and lives of these characters.

Immediately, I fell in love with Stella and Luka’s dynamic and we are hit right there and then with their will-they-won’t-they tug of love. All I can say about them is how much their love is all-encompassing and that is apparent on the page. I truly want to experience the love that they had (yes I’m lowkey jealous of a fictional couple’s relationship) and they make the highs, the lows, and the mundane of a romantic relationship magical in its own way.

Their friendship is so beautiful and their body language definitely shows how deep that love, both friendship and romantic love, runs through them. When I hear the writing advice that is “show not tell,” I think this book perfectly does that and it moves the story forward even more beautifully.

I absolutely adore the characters in this book too. We meet Beckett and Layla, Stella’s business partners, and Charlie, her stepbrother, and it makes me so excited to know that the other books focus on their stories. The people of Inglewild are also so adorable with the way they are a such tight-knit community, support Stella, and are probably the biggest Stella-Luka fanbase.

I love love love this book and B.K. Borison is an auto-buy author now and best believe that I’ll be hunting for the paperback of this series when I can. I highly recommend!

Thank you NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for this eARC in exchange for an honest review. When you sent this to me and stated that you think I would love this, you are definitely right!!!

I absolutely love this book and this series. This book is the ultimate friends to lovers and one of the best holiday romances I have ever read, even though this didn't feel much like a holiday romance.
I love fake dating and I love that this book was fake dating between two best friends who had known each other their whole lives. Straight away you could feel the connection between Stella and Luka when reading. I loved seeing them try to deny their feelings for each other when everyone around them knew how they felt about each other.
I absolutely love the small town community in this book and how much this small town/book reminded me of Gilmore Girls, which is one of my favourite TV shows.
I absolutely love the writing in this book. I love that I can easily get lost in this small town and these characters.
Stella and Luka are everything to me and I cannot wait to carry on with the rest of this series.

The romance between the protagonist, Stella , and her childhood friend , Luka , is a central part of the story. Their rekindled friendship blossoms into a sweet and heartfelt romance that adds another layer of warmth to the novel. Borison skillfully captures the chemistry between Stella and Luka, making their romance feel genuine and authentic.
What's particularly refreshing about this romance story is that it's not just a superficial addition to the novel. The romance is woven into the fabric of the story, providing depth and complexity to both Stella and Luka’s characters. Their relationship is also a testament to the power of love and how it can help people through difficult times.
Overall, "Lovelight Farms" is a feel-good novel that celebrates the importance of family, community, and love. BK Borison's writing is evocative, bringing to life the beauty and simplicity of rural life. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and their struggles and triumphs are both heartfelt and genuine. Whether you're a fan of romance novels or simply enjoy heartwarming stories, "Lovelight Farms" is a book that is sure to leave you feeling uplifted and inspired.

This book is about a woman named Stella who enters a contest with an Instagram influencer to save her beloved Christmas tree farm.

The added publicity and $100,000 cash prize could solve the farm's financial problems, but Stella lied on her application and said she owns the farm with her non-existent boyfriend. Luckily, her best friend Luka steps in to play the part.

But let's be real, the chemistry between them was just off the charts. I was literally yelling at my book the whole time, like "JUST KISS ALREADY."It was that good.

This book is seriously amazing! I can't get enough of it. It's just so much fun to read. I mean, I love everything about it - the characters, the plot, the writing style. It's all just so perfect.

Thankyou NetGalley for this arc in exchange for my honest revi

I literally could not put Lovelight Farms down. I am OBSESSED 😍 I’ve said this already to a few people but honestly how is this a debut?! It’s incredible! 👏🏼 I’m calling it, it’s my favourite Christmas book and not just my favourite Christmas book, but one of my all time favourites any time of year!

🎄friends to lovers
🎄found family
🎄perfect little town community
🎄an actual Christmas tree farm
🎄food and drink I wish I could have IRL

I officially want to move to Inglewild, and I only ever want a Christmas tree from Lovelight Farms.

Basically perfection! ❤️

This story gave me all the butterflies. It felt cozy and warm and all I want to write is Luka <3 Stella <3 (+ special mention for Beckett <3 who always felt like the gentlest of souls to me).
Stella and Luka have been friends for a decade. Both have always been into each other, but Stella is scared to change that as she has this fear that people will leave her. What if things don't work out and Luka leaves her? Luka, one of the constants of her life.
Lines are blurred between their fake-dating and reality. Every moment between Stella and Luka felt so right. Like they should have been together forever. I loved how intricately woven they were into each other's lives. Beautiful love story!
And this cast of characters makes me want to revisit Inglewild again. I'll probably re-read Beckett's and Evie's, and Layla's and Caleb's stories soon. Can't wait for Charlie's and Nova's to be published!
Oh and there's a bonus scene in this edition!

Thank you to Pan Macmillan for the ARC via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

absolutely adored this small town romance between longtime friends to lovers, stella and luka. slow burn and satisfying.

Considering I desperately want to read Into The Weeds, I chose this week to up the steamy, cute holiday romance that is Lovelight Farms.

Friends to lovers and a fake dating plot; mutual pining and friends who are family. Banter, steamy sex scenes; nefarious destruction to a Christmas tree farm, and kittens! Lovelight Farms has it all. I loved Luka from the moment we met him, and it was so completely obvious how he feels about his best friend and our main character, Stella.

Stella is living her dream, owning a Christmas tree farm, and delighting in the holidays all year round, and yet some debts need to be paid, shipments that have gone missing, a family of raccoons occupying her barn, and a whole pasture of trees that have withered and died. Not to mention broken fences, smashed pumpkins and theft. With money running out, Stella decided to enter an Instagram competition in the hopes of getting featured by a social media master, Evelyn St. James, and potentially winning $100,00 in prize money; she’s a finalist. Evelyn will be travelling to Lovelight Farms to feature them on her outlets; the only problem is that when filling out the application forms, Stella may have said that she owned the farm with her boyfriend… one she does not have.

Enter Luka Peters, Stella’s best friend of almost ten years and the guy she's hopelessly in love with. She wants to ask him to be her fake boyfriend for the week Evelyn is staying, but equally, she's terrified. Thankfully she does, and oof is the tension sweet and sexy and toe curling.

They make a pack to only do what feels right in terms of this relationship, using it as a trial run to see if they can keep their friendship and have each other. Stella, fully in denial/purposefully oblivious to how Luka feels about her, thinks that Luka is only offering her one week. One week in which they get to be who she always wanted them to be, while Luka tries to get Stella to see him as something more than her best friend.

Lovelight Farms is delicious in all the right ways. I love the festiveness and how the farm looks and feels in the autumn and winter months; it is a dream. I love the side characters, Beckett and Lyla, and am so glad they each have their own books! And I loved the town; they adopted Stella as their own, looking out for her, helping her, supporting her even when she didn’t realise it. Perfection.

I absolutely adored this book! Such a wonderful fake dating/friends to lovers book and I really loved the Christmas tree farm setting. So happy this is getting traditionally published and I can't wait to delve into the other lovelight farms books too!

I don’t even know what I was thinking when I started reading this book. I’d just had my hopes crushed and heart broken all over again and yet dived head first into a romcom(?) A true hopeless romantic, I guess. 😂🥰

So, the big question is did I enjoy it? Well, put it this way, I want the next book in the Lovelight series NOW!
Seriously, this has to be one of the sweetest romcoms I’ve had the pleasure of reading.
It’s the snuggle-up-with-a-good-book kind of read. Complete with all the feels, drama, family & laughs you want.

I am totally in love with all the characters, and not just Stella & Luka (I guess that’s why I can’t wait to read Beckett & Layla’s stories).
I love how Stella & Luka’s relationship develops. The adorable and (sometimes) steamy interactions, and not to mention the drama involving the strange going-ons at the farm. It all adds up to a gorgeously funny, cute and heartwarming romance.

Oh and how can I forget Luka’s family & Dane.
Hilarious & epic!
I don’t know if there will be a story (even novella) featuring Dane, but I would be first in line to read if there was/is.

My 2 favourite quotes ~

“And that I still don’t think he’s fit to lick the tar off Satan’s ass.”

“My mother specifically said that she doesn’t care if you’re unconscious at the table, just that you wake up in time for pie.”

Both literally had me laughing out loud.

I was invited by Pan MacMillan to read this and I cannot even begin to say THANK YOU enough. I’m beyond grateful.
It is definitely my favourite romcom of 2023.
I honestly didn’t want it end.

Thank you, NetGalley, for making it possible for me to access this phenomenal book.

P.S. don’t be put off by the Christmas theme (as it’s Spring/Easter). It’s got the cosy Christmassy vibes, but it’s really just a beautiful friends to lovers story that can be read, enjoyed and loved all year round

I would like to thank Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lovelight farms is a nice friends to lovers, small town, holiday romance. The story follows Stella, who owns a tree farm in a small town and is in love with her best friend Luka since she met him 10 years ago.

The farm is experiencing some financial problems, and Stella decides to participate in an influencer’s contest, whose prize would significantly help the farm’s finances. However, Stella lied on her application and said she co-owned the farm with her boyfriend, forcing her to start a not so fake relationship with Luka.

I really liked B. K. Borison writing style and loved the small town setting, which gave me some nice Gilmore Girl vibes.
Both main and supporting characters are likable and I was immediately engaged with their story and invested in their HEA.

This was a debut novel and, despite the bits of miscommunication, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I must say it became one of my favorite holiday readings. I’m excited to continue reading the series, especially Beck and Evie story.

Friends to lovers ✔️
Small town ✔️

Above are just some of the tropes you’ll find within this story, ones that will set your heart racing and aching for more when the book finishes, just like it did mine,

First of all, I want to say thank you for approving me to read this, I could not contain my excitement when I had the email come through to say I was approved and although it took me a number of days to finish due to health issues, I am able to say that this book has my heart and soul. It is a beautiful masterpiece and I cannot wait to continue the series,

It only took me 19 pages until I fell head over heels for Luka, the man is a saint and deserves to be worshipped as an Italian God. His heart is full of love for Stella and his kindness knows no limit. He is what every woman wants from a man and it truly breaks my heart that he’s not real, but I’ll continue to have my standards set high because of him. The patience he has is impressive and I love that he’s willing to do what makes not himself happy, but others too. It’s beautiful to see the dynamic between him and Stella come to life like a movie and expand and grow as they manoeuvre through a fake relationship,

Stella is someone with a dream, and when I think of her dream, I often end up hearing Christmas Tree Farm by Taylor Swift playing the background. There is nothing I would love more apart from being able to go and see Lovelight Farms, lose myself within the trees and then sandwich myself between Luka and Beckett; making sure I reenergise with Layla’s sweet treats. Stella works her way through trusting and believing that she won’t be left while trying to make life easy for others. She deserves the world, and I love that Luka wants to give it to her.

Thank you Rebecca for continuing my obsession with fictional men, you are an incredible writer and a beautiful person.

Once again, thank you NetGalley and Pan Macmillan.

This is the book that convinced me Friends to lovers is an elite trope. B K Borison does an incredible job of building tension and chemistry on page, between characters you will fall in love with. It is swoony, sexy, and sweet. I adore it. Would highly recommend picking this up - love light farms is for the whole year, not just for Christmas!

Thank you to netgalley, B K Borison and PanMacmillan for the free e-arc in a exchange for an honest review.

Such acute book. It is a fake boyfriend that you just know will see Stella and Luka fall properly for each other, but knowing the ending doesn’t matter. Some small town meaness, some great family moments and a good few spreadsheets and a briskness plan. A great winter read all curled up indoors.

Oooof. This is the first of Borison’s books that I’ve ever read and now I want to read every single thing that they have ever written.

The relationship between La La & Luka totally has ruined my life in the greatest way. The slow burn of their chemistry just wow.

Incredible characters, incredible love story. I loved this book so much. B.K. Borison is so talented and I’m so glad I got to read this!

firstly thank u to netgalley, the publisher and the author for gifting me this arc to provide them with an honest review before this book is traditionally published.

This book was phenomenal. Everything down to even the tiniest of details was perfect. I was invested immediately.

I adored the friends fake dating trope here, it was done so well and I really bought Stella and Luka as characters. They were so real and they really felt like friends, I loved their interactions s much. Their chemistry was also entirely off the charts, I was kicking and screaming at them the whole way through!

There is a plot but I would say this is primarily character driven, which is fantastic because all of the characters are great. If you’re looking for a cute winter themed romance to cosy up with this is definitely the one you should choose.

This book feels like a hug, its so warm and comforting and i can truly get lost in the world of Lovelight Farms and Inglewood forever. BK Borison has such a beautiful way of describing everything I can picture the town, the farm, Stella’s home and Luka so clearly in my head

It's official, I love B.K. Borison. I have heard so much about the Lovelight Farms series and actually started by accidentally reading Mixed Signals (the third in this series) and thought it was a stand alone, so when I saw this was a series, I flipped!

Lovelight Farms is the first in the series and we get see Stella and Luka's story, and their characterisation is just perfection. This story is full of all the genre's favourite tropes: fake dating, friends-to-lovers, witty banter, small town, holiday romance... you name it, it has it.

Borison's writing is flawless; her characters are well developed, complex but real... the issues dealt with in the story are not far fetched nor are they unnecessarily dramatised, I would absolutely recommend this book and the series!
