Craziest book ever, but it works wonders!

What can I say? Simply genius. First I thought we could not use those ideas in secondary. Then, I thought why not give it a go. Final review? They are simply amazing activities to use. Used a few in those groups who are restless and need to burn off energy. First of all, the pupils thought I was joking when I asked them to stand up and arrange themselves by height. Then, we tried the clap one and the energy escalator’s variation with me making noises and pupils making the actions. When we sat down, we continued with the lesson. A pupil asked: Miss, if we do some nice work, can we do that again? That says it all!!! Why nag at them when you can literally make them burn the energy off and help them focus? Craziest book I have ever read and will keep on using it and use it in our personal development lessons for well-being and mindfulness.

Just what today's stressed teachers need to rekindle classroom relationships

I have no doubt in my mind that the pandemic has had a truly detrimental effect on our whole society and schools in particular. What I love about this book are all the great ideas for forming trusting relationships again. So many classes are being taught by supply and non specialist teachers, what better way of building mutually respectful relationships than with some fun, engaging activities that do not require any specialised equipment. This easy to read book will go a long way to bringing back the joy and laughter to our classrooms!

Full of brilliant ideas!

As a teacher of twenty years plus experience, I know only too well how easy it is to slip into the same old routine lessons. This little box of tricks is chock full of brilliant ideas to bring simple, refreshing and zingy ideas into your classroom without doing any dull, time consuming preparation. It seems you can teach an old dog new tricks and can't wait to try some more of these in my classroom.

A very useful book for teachers struggling to control rowdy classes. The writing style is clear and informative but always retains a sense of humour, and the cartoon illustrations sprinkled throughout the text add to a sense of fun, which is also important to retain as a teacher. An excellent resource for teachers at all stages of their career.
