Very cute and interactive. As a fully grown adult, I had a good time searching for the chameleon’s hiding spot, so I know kids will love that aspect.

Come out, come out, Chameleon was great fun to read. We loved hunting for Chameleon on each page, and this works great for teaching vocab as you discuss where he could be hiding and colours. The illustrations are gorgeous, the text flows nicely and it has a happy ending in that Chameleon is found

Not only is the story adorable, but looking for the Chameleon on each page was so much fun! Even I wasn't able to find him a few times, but being shown where he was on the next page was a delight.

Chameleons are adorable and I love how this book will hopefully bring them to more children.

It's a super cute story! My 3-year-old had a blast reading and re-reading this book! We enjoyed trying to find the chameleon and naming everything he was disguised as. I recommend this great story to end the day with for some cute giggles and a sweet moment with your littles.

This is an absolutely ADORABLE little book. One of my favorite parts is that it introduces young kids to reptiles and how cool they can be! Not only will this book keep your child engaged with its storyline, but you get a bonus of having a small game of “i spy” throughout to find the hidden chameleon. So cute - highly recommend this book!

This book is so funny and fun! My little guy loved looking for the chameleon on every page, it was his favorite part! I love how the art looks like it’s all colored pencil.

Let's see. Chameleons are very good at hiding. So how do you ensure you share this with the kids? Of course, chameleons are one of the few creatures we all find fascinating, so this story about never being able to spot a chameleon can be a great learning point!Loved the illustrations too.

This was a cute and very fun book about an old fella and his dog searching for the fella's chameleon. I'm sure the little ones will garner a great kick out of this book and it's fun and has bright illustrations. I loved this book (even though I'm far from being a kid) namely because it's wholesome fun and I love reptiles.

This is a super cute, easy to read children's book about a man looking for his pet chameleon. It has a fun hidden pictures effect where you can search with the man on one page for the chameleon and then see the revealed location on the next set of pages. This would be a fun read for all ages to read together or even an independent book for a young reader.

This book was a total delight. The story is cute and funny. The illustrations are great. The chance for kids to search the pages for the chameleon's eye makes for an exciting experience while engaging in literacy. The book keeps kids engaged. I wouldn't be surprised if it became a classic!

Solid addition to a storytime line-up with similar elements to where's waldo, with a humorous take, and illustrations reminiscent of the movie Up.

This book is such a cute read! My 3 year old LOVED it! The pictures are beautifully illustrated and the pages are short and sweet. Perfect for a toddlers attention span! I will definitely be buying a hard copy of this book when it comes out in March :)

Forget the children, I actually enjoyed the booked myself. Following a simple plot, an elderly man has a pet chameleon that he can never find. He occasionally spies it here and there, but feels his eyes must be deceiving him because in a blink, the creature is gone!

The book is a fun read for caregivers and babies, and would make a great book for group reading in a nursery or playgroup session with it's beautiful crayon drawing across the double pages, I think it is a brilliant book for sharing with toddlers that need help with focusing their attension as the book has a bit of a spot the difference element. That is, there are similar pages with subtle changes around the mischievous little chameleon. My seven-year-old was flicking back and forth between pages to see the changes and how he missed some of them.

Although the story is a little short for him to read as a bedtime book, he would certainly appreciate this being part of a small selection of reads. It would make an ideal book for young independent readers as they will take their time pouring over the enitre content. Here's hoping Howley puts their imagination to use and produces books in a similar vein.

Young children will love this book! It’s exciting, it’s colorful, and the dog adds extra humor to the story. I can see children excited to spot the hidden chameleon!

I would love to add this book to my classroom, as I know my preschool and kindergarteners would read it again and again.

What a cute little story about finding the chameleon! My kids loved looking for the chameleon on each of the pages and asked to read it again when it was over. The illustrations are fun and it was a nice, easy read for younger children!

OMG, I am so happy I got to read this book because this was just SO funny and hilarious, and just what I needed after the news I had yesterday (writing this in January). 

In this book we meet an old man who not just has a dog as a pet but also a chameleon. There is one problem... he has never seen his chameleon. EVER. For real. However, as the book continues, we see clearly that he isn't that hard to spot. Not to mention the dog is really trying his best to let his owner know about the chameleon. Which leads to so many hilarious situations and I was just laughing my butt off. I LOVED that we got two scenes, one in which the clearly knows where the chameleon is but it is hiding sometimes quite well (some times it was just super easy which made it all the more fun) and the next we see the chameleon as he is. It was just so much fun and creative and I loved every page. Just what I needed!

But if you thought that is fun, wait until the old man (thanks to his dog) finds some instructions. That was just the best ending! 

And the art, OH BOY, I loved the art in this one it was just so colourful and fun and I loved how the author creatively hid the chameleon. 

All in all, HIGHLY recommended. This will bring a smile and laugh to everyone, I am sure of it.

This book is so cute! An older man thinks he sees his chameleon, but always decides it is just his eyes playing tricks on him (even though his dog knows better). This adorable picture book is a wonderful selection for kids ages 2-6 who love to find details in illustrations and love to laugh. It is definitely already a favorite in our house!

What a fun quick read! This would be a great engaging read for storytime in getting the children to find the Chameleon and talking about what he was hiding as. I really loved that the main character was a single old man and his dog, I found that very sweet!

This is a super cute book about a man who owns a chameleon but he has never seen it. Each page gives the child a chance to see if they are able to spot it and then the next page helps them see if they were right. So cute and I would read this at story time 100%.

A delightfully whimsical story and pictures. An elderly man can’t find his chameleon. His trusty dog helps him with this. This is one of those books that will just make you smile. I received a free advance reader copy, and I am submitting my review voluntarily. Highly recommend.

What a delightful interactive children's book about an old man, his dog, and his chameleon that he can never quite seem to find. I love the name, the colorful illustrations, and the interactive storyline where kids can try to locate the chameleon along with the reader. I also thought it was cute how they illustrated the little dog spotting the chameleon while the older man had his back turned. I can just picture kids laughing about this little nugget of information, as if they were in on it with the dog.☺️

I will definitely be looking for this adorable book when it comes out in March, and if you have little ones in your life, you should too.

Throughout each page, you can guess with your kids about where you think the chameleon could be. The last page will even give you a good laugh. This is a perfect, short picture book for kids. I will definitely be grabbing the physical copy of this when it comes out in March!

This book is freaking adorable! It shows an old man, who can never seem to find his pet chameleon! My two year old had fun yelling "come out, come out" (chameleon still a work in progress LOL). And we had fun searching for the chameleon every time we turned the page. Super cute!

Come Out Come Out Chameleon by Jonty Howley is an adorable children's book about an older man who has a pet chameleon that he can't find. He talks about all the times he thought he saw his little buddy, but never could find him. The book is fun because the chameleon is hidden in each picture and my youngest loved trying to find him. The pages of the book are beautifully illustrated and makes the search that much more enjoyable! The solution to the problem is just adorable, and so is the ending of this charming story!

It's a quick book, so I would say it would be a good wind down story, but not a bedtime story per say because the kids will get excited trying to find him. I think it's perfect for ages 3 and up since my youngest wants to read it over and again 😂

My niece and I absolutely loved this book. The call and response of the come out come out chameleon was super fun to shout and looking for the hidden chameleons on every page was super interactive. This will quickly become a classic at my Storytime's. The only problem is my niece now has to wait for the book to come out to have a hard back copy! We absolutely loved it!

This is a perfect storytime read: not too long/limited text per page, interactive look-and-find moments, a phrase for all to join in and shout, and a fun storyline. Come Out, Come Out, Chameleon! would be great for the 3-5 crowd.

This is an adorable story about a man and his hunt for his camouflaged chameleon.

I loved the textured crayon illustrations, and had great fun searching through the illustrations for the chameleon. The way the chameleons hiding place is revealed on alternate pages will ensure the book is just as enjoyable for younger kids who might not pick up on the more abstract hiding places!

A great read for younger children to share with their grown ups, with text that is simple for early readers.

An old man has a new chameleon. But he’s not actually seen it! He takes us around his house and garden and tells us where he thinks he may have seen it. The man gets sad at the thought of not meeting his new pet until he discovers chameleon care instructions stuck to his shoe. And the instructions tell him exactly what to do if he can’t find it…

The simple text is easy to read, it’s great for a beginner reader and the refrain is perfect for joining in. We love the bold colourful illustrations – they’re perfect for chameleon spotting! In some pages the chameleon is easier to spot than others, it took us ages to find it in the garden!
