I like this series of quick, easy to read, do you know about this person? books. I know who Taylor Swift is but I know very little about her (true!). So, this was a fun, short introduction. Didn't know she was named after James Taylor. Strange fact. I enjoy these tasty treats of a series.

Taylor Swift is a staple in our home and this book highlights so well what we love about her!! She is kind and tenacious and I do love that my daughters will grow up looking up to her.

This book, as is the other books in this series, was a joy to read. Learning about one of the biggest pop stars and cultural icons in an informative and beautifully illustrated book was fantastic. With lots of facts and information, the reader is taken from Taylor's humble beginnings in Pennsylvania to her taking the stage as one of the biggest stars in the world. A beautiful life story that will captivate fans of Taylor Swift, and encourage new ones, and also foster a love of non fiction in children. With a timeline of events and photos at the end of the book, this would make a wonderful bed time read or assist children in school projects.

This was such a cute book, telling the story of how Taylor first discovered her love of country music, to becoming a country musician, and then who she is now. It was full of beautiful illustrations while also ensuring diversity in the background characters. It was a cute, wholesome book that I would recommend to any Taylor fan!

Beautiful book, so we'll written and a great portrayal of Taylor Swift to give little ones a great insight into her life and how she is successful!

As a mother and a teacher, I love books like this one. Taylor Swift by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara is a great biography for our young readers. I like how it also talked about difficult things for Taylor, like people making fun of her boots and being criticized no matter what she did. I liked that it showed that she didn't give up and realized that it only mattered what she thought of herself. This book is great for any Taylor Swift fan but what I really like about these books is that my swifty fans who are reluctant readers have a book with high interest to read. My daughter who loves Taylow Swift but doesn't like to read actually was interested in reading this book! That's a win for me! This book will hook any fan and I like the message in it as well ,especially as a mother of girls. I like the timeline at the end of the book with real pictures. I will be purchasing this book for my own kids as well as for my second grade classroom.

Another great book in this series, this time about pop icon, Taylor Swift! These books are so cute in terms of illustrations, and put the biography in such an easy format for kids. So cute!

I love Little People Big Dream books - and was excited to see this one! My girls are young and very into Taylor Swift. We purchased the Little Golden Books Taylor Swift but the illustration and ease of the story in this Little People Big Dreams Book is more elevated. I mean the illustration is just adorable and my girls really enjoyed it. I will be purchasing the physical version once released.

I was so excited to see Taylor Swift as the new subject of Little People, Big Dreams. The book is a delightful little snippet of a biography, perfect for her youngest fans. The artwork is adorable and charming, much like the young TSwift was at the time. The messaging was on point: work hard, follow your dreams, never give up, and above all be kind. This book is the perfect addition to any Swifties' library, regardless of their age.

Both my daughter and I were delighted to see Taylor Swift was the next star of Little People, Big Dreams. This is a house full of TS fans so it was great to preview this book and we're looking forward to adding it to our bookshelves upon publication.

Beautifully illustrated, the book tells the story of how Taylor found her path into the music business and onto to global stardom whilst remaining true to herself and being thankful and grateful to her fanbase. Taylor Swift's story is an especially inspiring one and her determination, kindness and talent is wonderfully celebrated in this book. This book would be a gorgeous gift for a young fan. It's really lovely.

This book is darling! I love the bite size biography for younger fans. The inclusivity shown in the artwork is amazing as well. It will be so good for kids who love Taylor to be able to see themselves in this book.

My daughter collects “Little People Big Dreams” books and she was so excited to have early access to her favorite popstar, Taylor Swift. The artwork was awesome, and the story was inspiring. We can’t wait to buy the physical book when it comes out to add to our collection!

I am a Swiftie. I’ve been a Swiftie since I was 15 when Taylor released her debut album in October of 2016. I’m roughly the same age as Taylor. So watching her through the years and literally growing up with her and her music has been something I feel very grateful for.

This little people big dreams book is so darn cute! And very informative. I really enjoyed it a lot. I would definitely purchase this book for a friend’s child and even myself. This is the perfect addition to a collector’s collection!

I love this book series and this is a great addition to the collection. Moving and sweet it is the perfect book for kids and Swifties alike!

I downloaded this to read with my 6 year old daughter who really likes Taylor’s music. We read the book together and both learned some things about Taylor’s life. This book makes Taylor’s life relatable and emphasizes what a kind, caring person she is. This is an excellent book to read with any young Swiftie.

Another great Little People, Big Dreams title.

This is aimed a younger children so mainly focus's on simple facts such as how Taylor likes to be kind and caring. The pictures are lovely and I feel capture the essence of Taylor really well. Although this is a bit on the younger side for my 11 and 8 year olds as 'fans' they loved reading this book (although they can find out much more about her online) as it focuses more on her as a person than a pop star!

Such a sweet and tender look at this amazing woman’s music career and life! Perfect for kids of all ages. I know Taylor crazed kiddos in my life will love it! the pictures were engaging and matched the information.

My nieces and I are all Swifties, so being able to read this with them was so fun! The illustrations are so whimsical and charming. I was smiling pretty much the entire time while we were reading it, then we promptly cued up the playlist!

Yet another book in the Little People, BIG DREAMS series that stole my heart. This one is about Taylor Swift and the author captured Taylor’s life up to this point in a beautiful way. Both the story and the accompanying art is not only beautiful but also inspiring, showing kids all over the world once again that everything is possible even though there are hurdles in life that you need to overcome. I loved the artwork especially, which surprises with little details and adds beautifully to the story itself. I think every kid (and adult) can learn something from this, no matter if they’re a Swifty or not.

This was a cute, short biography of Taylor Swift and her life so far. I loved all the drawings and thought it was a great read.

I absolutely adored this little book, and would definitely buy it for my daughter (or myself)! I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan, and really appreciated the attention to detail in the illustrations (the Christmas stockings with her and her brother’s names, her three cats, her different outfits, the fact about who she was named after, etc.).

I only wish that there was even just one sentence about how she re-recorded her music to gain ownership over her own songs. There’s information on how she writes her own songs and how important that is, and there’s a note about The Eras Tour. But she was the first artist to re-record her music and that’s part of what not only made The Eras Tour such a big deal, it brought her fans together and made her a billionaire.

She also has a new album coming out in a few weeks, which may or may not be relevant to add.

It's a great biography book for young children especially on someone that is current. Has amazing illustrations across every single page. Great book for a primary school library or for a music class.

Everyone knows Taylor Swift due to her huge musical presence and worldwide dominance in the music scene. Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara tells Taylors' Life Story (so far) in a way that all young readers can understand and she uses positive, encouraging language.
Accompanied by detailed and realistic illustrations by Borghild Falberg, Taylor's achievements spring from the pages.

Taylor Swift by Marie Isabel Sanchez Vegara is a cute children’s biography about Taylor Swift.

The book is easy to read. I liked the way the author mentioned Swifties as the children that will really want this book will have. Connection to that. I love that they pointed out how caring and community minded Taylor Swift is, showing the reader not just the pop and country singer, but her heart and caring as well.

'Don't Blame Me' for how much I loved this books. There is incredibly beautiful artwork on every page, carefully capturing all the facets of Taylor's personality and quirks (including a few easter eggs of it's own) that will never go out of 'Style.' A 'Gorgeous' summary of Taylor achievements for younger readers so they don't feel like their 'On Their Own Kid.' I know 'All to Well' that Swifties everywhere will say, "I want this to be 'Mine'!" When it's over you'll ask "Is It Over Now?' and "Say Don't Go.'
A must read for all Taylor Swift fans but also a worth while read for those interested in how to achieve success doing the things that you love.

Omg, what a beautiful book. As a long-time fan of Taylor, I loved how this story took a little journey through her history, from her early days discovering music to seeing how she continued to pursue her dreams even after the ups and downs that come with her career. I've always believed that Taylor is an admirable person, and I love that children can learn her story from a very young age. (+) The illustrations were absolutely beautiful 💗

When I saw this book this morning, I immediately downloaded it, knowing that I’d see my favourite little Swiftie (my niece) today and we could read it together.

The first thing we both noticed was the beautiful illustrations. We agreed that of all the Little People, Big Dreams books we’ve read together, this one is the best illustrated.

We discovered why her parents gave her the name ‘Taylor’, why so many people like this singer and her lyrics, and why she has such a big following. Among other things, we also learned that Taylor will go down in history as the first artist to hold all top ten spots on the biggest U.S. music chart.

Taylor's kindness and dedication towards inclusion for all come across clearly in this story. My niece and I liked the reminder to be fearless in pursuit of our dreams.

This would make the perfect birthday gift for the little Swiftie in your life! It’s appropriately presented for elementary school children, incredibly engaging, and gives them insight into Taylor’s dreams and aspirations at each stage of her life. For the older elementary school-aged children, there’s a timeline that would be useful to accompany a project. My niece pointed out that it also shows the difficulties Taylor faced in her life and how she overcame them.

When I saw this book I actually squealed because I knew my daughter would love it. This book is so age appropriate for the younger elementary school aged Swifties. I love how it gives a concise time line of her biggest accomplishments, in terms easy enough for the little fans to understand. I also love how it shares her big milestones but also features the incredible things she does aside from her music. The pictures are so vibrant and beautiful.

Overall, I think Swifties of all ages will just adore this book. I know I can’t wait to add it to our bookshelf!

From one Swiftie to another, it’s a super sweet story following Taylor’s journey. It definitely glazes over the fine rougher points (no Kayne or Scooter mentions) and focuses on the positivity of Taylor success. Lovely read for my little Swiftie.

I loved this cute, little book! It’s perfect for the littles, the middles and the bigs. 😄 I don’t know of anyone who hasn’t heard of Taylor Swift by now, but if you haven’t, this is a wonderful introduction to her life, from a little child to the present-day powerhouse that she is. The illustrations are wonderful and really capture Ms. Swift’s energy and personality. Any child would be enthralled by both the colorful drawings throughout and the beautiful photos and timeline at the very end of the book. Taylor Swift is amazing, and if you want to read about my transformation to a dyed-in-the-wool, true blue, through and through Swiftie, read on. This book review got me thinking about TS, and then the creative juices started flowing. What follows is not meant to diminish the book “Taylor Swift” in any way. If anything, I hope it enhances it. If you don’t like Taylor, please scroll on in your feed.

Full disclosure: I am a Swiftie. I wasn’t before I took my girls to see her Eras concert movie last fall I remember seeing her debut album and liked “Tim McGraw” when it came out, but then when “Red” was released, a couple of famous breakup songs were extremely overplayed, and I got sick of hearing them. This was followed by “Shake it Off” and “Blank Space”, both also overplayed to the max (although I enjoyed a couple of other songs on 1989), and I wrote her off a little bit, subconsciously. I hated “End Game” from “Reputation”, so I didn’t listen to any of the other songs on there. I did enjoy the album “Lover”, but when she came out with her pandemic albums, I was turned off by the covers and no capitals, so I only ever heard “cardigan” one time, thought it sucked (I don’t think that now) and refused to give the rest of the albums a chance. Supremely shortsighted of me? Yes, yes indeed.

Then came the Eras concert movie. I went because other relatives were going, and I didn’t want to let down my daughter.

We sat in our seats—my brother, his wife (also my BFF), my nephew, two nieces, my daughter and myself. The movie began.

And I was absolutely blown away. I was amazed by Taylor’s performances, her charisma, her sheer enthusiasm and above all, her STAMINA. This woman apparently prepared for the tour by running at top speed while belting out each song in the concert playlist., and it shows, people.

I also was shocked not only by how many new songs I loved, but how many I had heard before, liked and didn’t realize they were Taylor’s songs!

I’m having a hard time coming up with words to describe how I felt after seeing such a powerful performance by an amazing, strong woman. If you haven’t seen her concert movie, I encourage you to see it. If you’ve been lucky enough to see the concert in person—know of my undying jealousy. My two daughters and I ended up seeing the movie multiple times and thoroughly enjoying ourselves every single time. I quickly learned all of the concert playlist, and we all sang along to each song. Precious memories were made.

As a parent, I always try to admit to my kids if I learn I was wrong about something or someone.

Taylor Swift, kids? I was wrong about her. She is a phenomenal songwriter, singer, performer and overall human being. She uses her fame and wealth for so much good. Taylor deserves all the awards, and then some. I can’t wait to see what else she produces, and I’m excited for more to come in her ever-expanding body of work. “Tortured Poets Department”, anyone?

As a long time Taylor Swift fan, I was really interested to see where she came from and her journey to world wide success. The book is written in a very engaging, accessible way. I will be getting this for my 9 year old daughter who also loves Taylor Swift. I love the illustrations - it really adds to the story. I would highly recommend this to anyone - people who love Taylor Swift and want to find out more about her, but also anyone interested in how a star was born .

This book was spectacular! I loved how so many of the illustrations have real world counterparts that I was able to spot. The story was very simplified, but very linear and easy to follow. I don't feel like anything was skipped over or like anything important was left out. I will absolutely buy my nieces a copy of this book when it is released. I'm a Swiftie, and naturally, my two little girls are also Swifties. My 6 year old came home the other day from school and told me "Mom, there are only two Swifties in my class!" We have a lot of the Dream Big books, and while I love their stories, the ones we have are about women in history- so not necessarily relatble to my two littles. Taylor Swift is someone they know of, they admire and love. This was a beautifully illustrated love letter to Taylor and her story, in a digestible format for kids. I'll be pre-ordering today!

I appreciate that these stories highlight figures from history, but also bring to life artists from today's pop culture that kids may recognize immediately. This book does a really good job of representing Taylor's career trajectory in a digestible way - while still highlighting other things that she's done in addition to her music career.

I really appreciated the emphasis on being a kind person and Taylor's focus on supporting causes important to her. Even in the timeline at the end of the book - there's reference to her re-recording her music because of the sale of her masters and I think that adds to the rounding out of her career and story overall. The illustrations are great - they're bright and colorful while supporting the story that's being told on each page and bringing the words to life. I think this book can help add additional context and nuance to Taylor's overall journey - especially for young fans who maybe didn't grow up with her like the current generation did.

I've been really looking forward to this addition to the series, and it didn't disappoint! I like where the story chose to focus, and thought the pacing was done well to be covering such a lot in such a short space of time. I particularly liked the illustrations in this book, I thought the art style was very cute and matched the tone of the story. I really enjoyed this book and I think it'll be interesting to revisit in later years and see how it compares to Taylor Swift's future career.

I absolutely adored this charming, petite book! It's just perfect for the little ones, the in-betweens, and the grown-ups alike. By now, I reckon nearly everyone's heard of Taylor Swift, but if you haven't, consider this a delightful primer on her journey, from her early years right up to the powerhouse she is today. The illustrations are simply delightful, capturing Ms. Swift's zest and persona with aplomb. Any child would be enraptured by the vibrant drawings scattered throughout, not to mention the beautiful photos and timeline at the book's tail end. A lovely well written little book about Taylor Swift, I'm relatively new to her and her music but have enjoyed what I've heard so far. It's nice seeing, hearing and reading about young people doing well for themselves. Initially being in the right place at the right time to be seen and heard by the right people in Taylor's case.

I feel I know Taylor a bit more after reading this, she knows right and wrong when it came to her masters being sold, re-recording with someone else shows that she wasn't happy and wanted to rectify it. Good on you!

I like how she still seems down to earth, her fans aren't just making her money, she cares about them, she wants to share her journey and she loves them. She sounds a lovely person inside and out and I will look out for more about her and her music and background as it's interesting to know the backstory.

This series of books are always engaging, with their cute art style full of bright colours and details. This book on Taylor swift is a great addition to the series, expressing to children that believing in yourself when your peers don't and always chase your dreams and your passions. Each page has a reasonable amount of writing, enough to show the flow and progression of Taylors career, but not so much that young readers would be overwhelmed or become disengaged. The art is so beautiful and detailed, it made turning each page really fun.

I am the biggest Little People Big Dreams fan and when I discovered they had created a book about Taylor Swift I was ecstatic! Being totally honest, I think I love this collection just as much, if not more, than my little reader.

This book celebrates the wonderful country and pop megastar Taylor in a fun and accessible way for young book lovers. I learnt so much more about young Taylor through this book and I had no idea she was named after James Taylor!

I think all the Swifties will be overjoyed with this book, that goes without saying; I also believe there are some important messages for all children within her story too. In the book we discover that not everyone was kind to young Taylor and that she remained true to herself in the face of bullies.

Hearing about Taylor’s beginnings in music, her determination and drive is inspiring for everyone, fan or not. The illustrations joyfully showcase this musical icon throughout different stages of her life and it was great to see her fun and glamorous costumes beautifully depicted too.

As a fellow swiftie - I loved this! The writing and illustrations are absolutely beautiful and complement each other so well, This would make the perfect addition to any Swiftie's library, whether it is their own or their children's. That being said, I feel that even if you are not a fan of Taylor Swift, you would love this book. The story shows just how inspirational she is and teaches young people to always strive to achieve their dreams - anything is possible.

As a 15-year-long fan of Taylor Swift, I knew that even though I was not the intended target audience, I had to read this book. I haven't read any of the other stories in the Little People, BIG DREAMS series, but I'm thinking I'll give it a go now! The illustrations were absolutely adorable, and along with the Taylor facts, entirely accurate. Having my favourite musician be the biggest celebrity in the world means I often read pieces about her that are only sprinkled with the truth, the accuracy getting lost along the way. But not with this!

I highly recommend this to teachers, parents, and siblings - anyone who wants to encourage a positive mindset regarding a high-profile woman who is so often cut down by the media. Stop that cycle and inspire the children again.

This was a really cute quick biography of Taylor Swift. I loved to lessons they pulled from her life like peers not thinking what you love is cool, learning to accept yourself and not seek approval just from others, using fame for good, and finding your own voice. The illustrations also featured a lot of diversity.

The whole aesthetic and vibe of the book is straight out of a fairytale, which I think captures the essence and impression Swifties feel when listening to Taylor's music. It means a lot to us, the feeling of being understood, and the dedication and understanding of Taylor's life and career shine through and through in this book. The illustrations are gorgeous, I think every little one would enjoy flipping through this book. It's inspirational for them, and emphasizes the importance of passion, doing the things you love, not giving up, and believing in yourself.
This book was a pleasant reading experience, even for me, a 22-year-old. I highly recommend it to everyone, those, who love Taylor Swift, and to those, who would love to introduce her to their little ones.

Since even I, as one who was a late-comer to the Swifties countless, learned a few things from this, I'm sure young readers will, too. Since other reviews seem to expound on their connection to Swift, I'll stick to my take on the book. I liked it. I have thoroughly enjoyed anything I've read from the Little People, Big Dreams shelf and this was no exception. While adults or more savvy fans will surely wish it went into more detail, it does a great job of giving an overview of where Swift came from and her rise. More importantly, it gives insight into how she fosters the connection she has with her fans.

That illustrations are lovely, showing her as a child on her family's Christmas tree farm and later in concert. There's a young, innocent look to her in the pictures and, parents, never fear, the book doesn't touch on her romantic life or really even most of the spotlight and hassles she's faced as an adult artist. Instead, while noting that she was often laughed at in school because of her obsession with country music and wearing her cowboy boots to school, the focus is on her drive to succeed. Her parent's support and love is also noted, a reminder that being a musician doesn't mean one must rebel against parental figures, though that was my take, not really an intent of the book. It also notes she didn't just trust to blind luck. She worked for it, taking lessons in singing and even acting rather than just relying on innate talent.

Bottom line, a respectful, sweet look at the now mega-star Taylor Swift when she was just another "little people" with "big dreams". I have been a #Swiftie since she started appearing on The N, back when Teardrops On My Guitar was her hit single. I was a newlywed, still trying to figure out life and here is this incredible girl singing her heart out. Taylor Swift has narrated my entire adult life. I love that she's such a strong, yet kind, role model for the younger (and older!) generations. This story goes back and tells us about her and how she began. Where she came from, what she and her family have sacrificed to get to where she is. Highly recommend for any other Swiftie out there, young and old.

How her dream to become a country singer was so much earlier than I knew and that she was very passionate about becoming great. Her first concert with her parents to see LeAnn Rimes was the starting point for her singing obsession. Brief history from that point includes her recording first, signing a recording deal, re-recorded her albums and names some of her famous albums. Perfect for learning information for younger Swifties and for their parents.

I'm eager to learn more about her music and background; her story is truly captivating!

I highly recommend this book. It is perfect for young readers. In addition to being well-written, it is beautifully illustrated.

Maria has hit the nail on the head by covering Taylor in her series. A must read for any young person who wants to believe in achieving their dreams.

As a new mom, I have spent many late nights and early mornings listening to Folklore/ Evermore to help my little get back to sleep. As someone who has grown up as a Swiftie, I am excited to share her music with the next generation and show the good qualities in some of our biggest stars.

Okay, let’s start with the actual review!

I LOVE the Little People, BIG DREAMS books and was beyond thrilled to receive an arc from NetGalley. They have a way of telling a story that flows well for the little ones to understand and put a focus on the good qualities of a person - I love how they provide books to help inspire our little ones. For this specific book, we see Taylor as being an individual who was comfortable with herself and knew from the early age she wanted to pursue music - regardless of what her peers said. It also shows how she cares about her fans and wants to include them with these major chapters of her life - showing that it doesn’t matter how successful you are, you can always be kind. The book provides little sweet life lessons that I want my daughter to carry throughout her life. I also want to add how STUNNING the illustrations are in this book.

Follow your dream. Be true to yourself. Put yourself out there. Those are the main takeaways from this portrait of a real star.
The illustrations by Karen Borghild Fallberg are fun, simple, brilliantly colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!

This was a super cute mini-biography of Taylor Swift aimed at the littles. The art in this book really stood out as fantastic and you could tell that the drawings were Taylor. The author made Taylor's story seem reachable, which I really appreciate in a children's book. There will definitely be future singer-songwriters inspired by this story.

Also, there were so many fun illustrations of her cats throughout the book and that was fantastic!

How could I not read this Little People, Big Dreams book about Taylor Swift?

Like the other books in this series the illustrations are amazing and I especially felt these ones captured Taylor’s bubbly personality. What I liked about this book is how it also focus on her kind nature and was an overview of her music career. Taylor Swift fans young and old will enjoy this little book!

From the adult perspective I like how there is more detailed two page biography at the back. These books would be a fantastic add to any grade school library!

It was a super cute book aimed for little kids and I read it with my two year old. The illustrations were fantastic and adorable. It had just enough information about Taylor’s life and career path to be inspiring, encouraging, provide hope, and make a little person curious I think, and I learned a couple of things myself!

A great biography from our favourite non fiction series.

Taylor hails from a ‘Christmas Tree Farm’ in Pennsylvania. She has music in her blood and believed from a young age in the power of songs to tell stories and change the world. Her favourite genre, country music, wasn’t deemed cool and school was a lonely place where she was mocked for some of her choices.

She learnt to play the guitar and started to write her own songs, often drawing on her personal life. She became the youngest person ever to write and perform a No. 1 country song. Countless Grammys later, she has overcome ‘Bad Blood’, ridden out controversies, tried her hand at many different musical genres and generally stuck it to the man! She is ‘Fearless’ and advocates for taking care of your own mental health. By using her voice for good, she encourages her fans (in their millions) to ‘Speak Now’ and find their own voice and stand up for those less fortunate.

We recommend this inspirational book for children age 4-7.

this is the absolute cutest book i have ever read! as a major swiftie, i knew i had to check this book out. i love how the story of taylor’s life is told in a way to be easily digestible for young children to foster a new generation of swifties.

don’t even get me started on the art in this book! i was really impressed with how much the images look like her, but also give off fun, summery, and heartwarming vibes. i love how the pictures show taylor in some of her most popular outfits in each era - that was a very nice touch. i think the cutest picture in the whole book was the small image of taylor curled up with her cats.

i can’t wait to pick up my own physical copy of this book when it’s published!

This was a cute story all about Taylor Swift and her rise to fame for young fans or even for people who don’t know Taylor to learn about her. The illustrations make you feel like you can see her while you read about her and make the book even better. It’s not too long, making it the perfect read for small children. It also gives hope that anyone can take a dream and make it reality with hard work and dedication. I really enjoyed this, not just as a fan of Taylor, but also as a mom and look forward to reading it again and again with my little daughter who is also a Taylor fan.

I adore this series. Mini biographies in picture book format is such a smart idea for young readers and this book in particular, was a huge hit in our house. The simple, straightforward text and beautiful illustrations made this a perfect story time selection.

An inspiring tale of one of the most successful icons of our time, this is an ideal read for all the little Swifties in your life!

I absolutely adore the Little People, Big Dreams book series. Between the story telling and the illustrations, these books would be appropriate for most ages. Also at the end of the books, the author (Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara) includes a more detailed/factual timeline and short biography of the person that is a great feature. Taylor Swift’s book did not disappoint. I loved all of the pictures in the book and feel it truly encapsulated her journey of becoming a star and some of the trials and tribulations she faced. A major message through her story was to always be kind and stay strong and determined in following your dreams.

Great book! I highly recommend reading it and adding it to your collection if you enjoy the Little People, Big Dreams book series!

This little and cute book is the epithome of this lyric in Long Live, and I actually cried while I read this little story. I've been following Taylor since forever, I was 12 when I first heard her music for the first time, and her songwriting has been part of my life since then. This book really highlights her career and focuses on her proudest moments, but does not shy away from harder topics such as bullying and the whole "Reputation" era: it was so cute to see that described in a way that children could understand, and it was honestly heartwarming. It means so much to me than her story was narrated in this innocent way, and I love how it highlighted her strenghts and her perseverance. Just a cute little story, with awesome illustrations, that I highly recommend!

I absolutely love Taylor Swift and anything and everything that has to do with her. This was such a wonderful, informative, and inspiring take on her life, showcasing her trials and tribulations and her success. The illustrations are beautiful and I 100% need a copy for my Taylor Swift shelf on my bookcase!

Little People, Big Dreams - Taylor Swift by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara

This picture book biography tells the story of Taylor Swift, the most influential popstars, of recent decades. Including all of the necessary biographical information but told as a children's story, this book describes the events of her childhood and adolescence as well as unique facts about her like her grandmother was an opera singer.

As with all of her amazing biographies, Vegara creates informative and carefully crafted picture books that are perfect for young readers. Each page of her books has beautiful, colour-filled illustrations with about 3-4 lines of text. While they are biographical, they are also written in story form, demonstrating how young people can persevere, break barriers and do great things as they grow! The books end with a timeline and some pictures/biographical information about the subject.

I could definitely see this book in my Grade 2 classroom library and would recommend it to parents and teachers of children in the age 6-12 range. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

While wandering around NetGalley, I stumbled across this awesome new board book series for babies and toddlers. The vibrant, yet simple, covers displaying historical women that I have grown up learning caught my eye, and it instantly drew me to pick up a few of these books off the shelves. To be totally honest, I was so intrigued by these books that I ended up sitting right down to explore this new nonfiction board book series.

Through my reading and my post-reading research, I have learned that Little People, Big Dreams is a new series that focuses on introducing the youngest of readers to amazing, wonderful women that have influenced the world. Each book is purposely designed in order to highlight one woman who has made a difference in the world. It tells the story of that women's dream and how she was able to make her dream come true despite the biggest of obstacles.


I loved the simplicity of the design of the series, Little People, Big Dreams. The authors and illustrators who have worked on this project clearly understand their audience, and they have made each of the books reflect exactly what they want their youngest of readers to be exposed to. Designed for babies and toddlers, Little People, Big Dreams uses simple text and engaging pictures to tell the story of each woman in a kid-friendly manner.

Often times, my biggest complaint with board books is that they lack plots or messages. Even though board books are purposely designed for babies and toddlers, I absolutely believe they still need to be strong examples of books that contain both strong plots and messages. All age levels of children need to have access to great text.


I loved how Little People, Big Dreams designed their biography series for baby and preschool readers. There are not many nonfiction book series out there. This series is absolutely helping to pave the way to push the norm for what we typically think of when we think of baby books. Little People, Big Dreams series is a positive example of how even our youngest readers can read and learn from awesome books!

This book series is such a staple in the teaching community - the books really help to give young people a glimpse into the life work or various figures, icons and celebrities. I was so excited to see that Taylor Swift had been chosen to be a part of this series.

This book had all of the info needed for littles, as well as being an enjoyable read for older fans. It selected Taylor’s main achievements well, whilst retelling her rise to fame, acknowledging some challenges but focusing on the positive. The illustrations made my inner Swiftie squeal with delight. They were perfect and iconic of the different Taylor Swift Eras. I do think that the Eras tour could have gotten a grander section at the end but I appreciate that it was breezing over everything in her life and no trying to hype her up too much.

A great read and a perfect classroom book for little Swifties to enjoy. Maybe even inspire some to pick up a guitar!

It won’t be a Cruel Summer with this fantastic Little People, Big Dreams book coming out! Taylor Swift is a star, it’s undeniable. This is the story of how she came to be one of the most influential artists of our time. A great story for both young and old to enjoy.

I loved this intro into Taylor's life and career! There are so many points that can lead to longer discussions with children, about school friends, about resilience, about following your dreams and so on. Beautifully illustrated too- I only wish there was a longer and more in depth version for older children :-)

This is a another fantastic edition to this wonderful series for young children. Taylor Swift is a mega star so I enjoyed discovering more about her childhood and I loved the illustrations by Borghild Fallberg. The illustrations really made the book for me as the artist has really got Taylor Swift’s likeness perfectly. I didn’t realise that Taylor started off making Country Music, and that she’d already recorded her second album by the time she was 20! This books charts her path to success with some gorgeous illustrations and a short timeline in the back of the book.

This is a children's book about Taylor Swift's life so far including her love of music and determination through childhood, teen years into adulthood. It covers Taylor Swift's dreams, joy and also some of the things she found tricky.

It is, as ever with this series, beautifully illustrated and explained in just the right way. Not too many words per page and plenty to look at and enjoy in terms of illustrations so it is suitable for a range of ages (and also be a fun read for adults too, during story time).
