This twisty thriller had me hooked from the first page! Years after Maddy and Sadie’s dark secret, life seems picture-perfect, until a glamorous masquerade ball invitation shows up alongside a chilling threat. Someone knows what they did, and the tension builds as you wait for the mask to come off. Dark, juicy, and impossible to put down!
I thoroughly enjoyed Hannah Emery’s new book, Everyone Has Something To Hide, and smashed through it in 24 hours, as it had me captivated from the start.
The narrative centres on two friends with a secret, an accident involving a teenager, and what unfolds when they are all brought together again ten years later. Told in dual timelines and from various points of view, this is a gripping, tense, well-plotted, clever story with characters that feel alive. I enjoyed the writing style and the tension increased in the second half of the book with short , sharp chapters adding to the mystery.
The storyline is believable and has a well- constructed ending as well as a final twist.
If you want to be gripped by an enjoyable, compelling read, then I recommend this one.
