Description
This poetry collection is a foray into the mindscape of a migrant and his changing definitions of home; an exploration of physical spaces and psychological territories. Each poem in Home in Motion is a love affair between the poet persona and the cities that once offered him a warm bed; his allegiance torn between his place of birth and his residence.
The terse verses are like peeks through glass windows at ideal neighbourhoods. They embrace brief walks through the safe streets of nostalgia and return to the reality of fleeting seasons. The book explores themes of identity, community, migration, interrogating memory, and many experiences in-between.
Through several pages and cities of morphing metaphors, one definition stands out: “Home is where the heart finds the freedom to pull at strings of dreams, strike chords of ecstasy.”
