As a mom of a pre teen and a licensed esthetician and spa owner i cannot recommend this book enough. It has so much fun activities and recipes to try I can't wait to try the coconut banana moisture hair mask meanwhile my daughter is most looking forward to the mint chip lip balm. I liked that the author took the tine to ex0lain different skin types and provided options fir facial masques to suit the skin. 10 out if 10!
I absolutely love this book. GLOW is such a thoughtful, beautiful guide for teens, and you can tell a lot of care went into every detail.
First off, it’s visually stunning. The layout is clean, easy to follow, and just genuinely pleasant to look at—which makes a big difference, especially for teens who are just starting to explore routines on their own. Everything feels approachable, not overwhelming.
What really stood out to me is how practical it is. My teenager was able to follow one of the recipes completely on her own, which I loved seeing. The book includes a wide range of recipes and activities—from easing period symptoms to skincare to making your own dry shampoo or your own period relief tea and hot pad —so it really covers everyday self-care in a fun, hands-on way.
I also appreciate the focus on more natural body care. Teens are at such an important stage of development, and having options that are simple, intentional, and mindful of what we’re putting on our bodies feels especially valuable.
This book makes natural self-care feel empowering, creative, and doable—and I think more teens should have access to something like this. Highly recommend.
