Book Description:
No one had ever made friends with a demon. Except for her.
As a child, Sweetie Pie’s normal life was shattered the day a demon latched on to her. Demons were dangerous and anyone found possessed by one was hunted down by demon hunters and thrown into prison–or worse.
It was a mystery why, but Sweetie’s demon happened to be invisible to everyone except her. Must have been due to momentous luck.
Failing every attempt to rid herself of her demon, who had named himself Max, Sweetie was forced to live out her days with him always by her side. Though Max spared no efforts teasing her or joking around, to Sweetie’s surprise, her demon had also never done anything to harm her, yet.
Now, 18 years old, Sweetie has spent seven years with Max. So far, he’s been a consistent plus one for any movie, a constant ear for her venting, and a cheerleader for her dancing. But Max is probably only pretending to be nice. She would be an idiot to trust a demon!
Though…she may need to use his powers.
A strong demon that can conjure barbed wires wants Sweetie dead for some reason, and is also eyeing her perfect cousin Juliet with his six pupils. Not to mention, a strikingly handsome demon hunter has also started claiming he can see Max!
In order to save herself, her cousin, and evade demon hunters, Sweetie’s been finding that she needs to rely on Max more and more. Her life depends on it. But he’s a demon. She’s a human. Demons hurt humans and Sweetie had always secretly feared that Max wanted her dead.
