Description

"I am a mum of two beautiful daughters, Larose and Lorena.

"My eldest, Larose, is the light of my life. She loves to be the centre of attention... just like me.

"But my youngest, Lorena, is harder to picture. I was able to hold her as a baby and see her tiny face, but I don't know what the colour of her eyes would be now or who she would look like today. I've never heard the sound of her laugh, or her cry.

"There is no way to ease the pain of losing a child, it is always going to be with you. I’ve written this book to help others feel less alone and share all the lessons I have learned from my own journey."

For the last 15 years fans of reality TV show The Only Way is Essex have followed the ups and downs of Lauren Goodger’s life on screen.

But away from the cameras she faced the hardest thing any parent could experience, losing her second daughter Lorena, just minutes after giving birth.

Some 13 women each day in the UK will see their babies die during or shortly after labour. Lauren wants to break taboos and start talking honestly about the reality of what happens, in order to help others.

Mum Of Two is an exploration of motherhood, loss, and grief - but also of immense inner-strength, courage, and resilience.

"I am a mum of two beautiful daughters, Larose and Lorena.

"My eldest, Larose, is the light of my life. She loves to be the centre of attention... just like me.

I have followed Lauren since her early days on TOWIE and can vividly recall her Instagram post when she lost her beautiful daughter . Mum of two is a heartfelt read, Lauren opens up to the trauma of losing a child and how she dealt with it and is still healing now . She comes across as a very strong loving Mother who has daily struggles but lives her life as best she can … her absolute devotion to her daughter Larose is heart warming . I am sure this book will help other mothers suffering the same tragedy as Lauren and the fact she wants to help others speaks volumes

I have always followed Lauren since first watching her on TOWIE many years ago. I enjoyed her last book so was interested to read this.

It was a heartbreaking but also insightful read into her life from the last few years, including the births of both her daughters. I really felt for her and couldn’t believe how badly she has been treated by so many People in her life. She is a really strong person and should be proud of how far she has come.

Thanks to NetGalley, Lauren Goodger and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

In this book Lauren Goodger bravely shares her personal experience of baby loss and other struggles in her childhood and adult life. It's hard not to feel her pain when she discusses what she went through during and after the birth of her second child.
I'm sure there are many others who have experienced similar who may appreciate her honesty opening up about this subject which can still be very difficult to talk about.
Thanks to NetGalley and Mirror Books for the ARC.
