Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishers for this review copy. I follow Tasty on facebook and love watching the videos of different unique recipes, so for it to be in a handy book is even better. Obviously it is better to watch the video for clear instructions on how to make things, but the book is just as good. The recipes are original and look very good to eat. They pictures are clear and the instructions are simple and concise. Even the most basic of cook shouldn't go wrong with these. Well worth the buy! Five stars! |

I really loved the concept of this cookbook. The idea that by using step by step images it can encourage everyone, even people who insist they cannot cook, to create wonderful meals. I mean, spaghetti carbonara scares the crap outta me and this book made it look like a breeze. The recipes are varied, fun, and super fucking easy for food I would eat with ingredients I have on hand. And, funny story, I originally gave this three stars. Then while writing the review I upped it to four while flipping back through and remembering things I liked. Then upped it to five when I went "oh right, I wanted to try that." And finally ordered a copy of the damn thing because FML I need this book in my life. Now move it along, I've got oven-baked ratatouille to make. |

This review copy request was a no brainer for me. I love when the Tasty videos come up on social media. There is always something that I never thought to try, or even something that simplifies prep for a recipe I’ve already been using. The videos are easy to follow. However, if you’re looking to have a neat little place to have these recipes to pull out on the fly this recipe book is a great place to start. The pictures are simple and easy to follow. You can’t go wrong with these. The only issue I had was the version given doesn’t show the complete layout of the book itself. P.S. The Kick'n Quesadillas were a fave. |

I've been a big fan of the Tasty videos for a long time now. It seems like every time I log on to Facebook, someone has posted a recipe I've never seen before, and I always add the video to my "favorites". I've yet to see a video I don't find intriguing, so I was very excited when I came across the I Love Tasty Cookbook for review. One thing I really love about this cookbook is how easy the recipes are. This would be a wonderful gift for first-time moms and also mothers with children old enough to help in the kitchen. (There are a ton of kid-friendly recipes that both kids AND adults will love). Newlyweds would enjoy it too. I've had the cookbook for less than a week now, and I've already made four recipes that I love. The first one, Crispy Baked Chicken Nuggets, was a huge hit with the whole family. They are easy to make and taste delicious with a variety of dipping sauces. (We used honey mustard, barbecue, and sweet and sour sauces). I cooked some homemade french fries and served a green salad with these chicken nuggets, and we had a delicious meal that everyone gobbled up. I will definitely make it again (and again and again). The second recipe, Cream of Mushroom soup, was filling and also super easy to prepare. We had a short cold spell, which is very odd for the south this time of year, so I was in the mood for some comfort food and this soup hit the spot in a big way. The other two recipes, Kickin Quesadillas and Cocoa and Chocolate Brownies, tasted amazing and were also easy to prepare. A big bonus, in my opinion, is this cookbook doesn't contain weird ingredients that are difficult to find in rural areas, like where I live. I was able to find everything I needed at my local grocery store, so I give two enthusiastic thumbs up for that. The only thing I would change would be to add the nutrition information for those of us who are dieting or dealing with medical conditions, like diabetes, where the nutrition information is vital for maintaining good blood sugar readings. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing about this cookbook, and I would certainly recommend it to everyone. |

Tasty but in book format, what’s not to love?! This the perfect recipe book for those who don’t know how to cook, are learning, or just don’t really feel like cooking. It’s simple, has easy to follow step by step instructions. With pictures. Bonus. Each recipe looks Tasty (see what I did there?) and brilliant for any level of skill. Plus the book has conversions in each recipe. As a Brit this is massively handy cause I have several differently sized cups. |

The recipes all looked super easy. Each recipe also has pictures for each step of the directions. I think this would be a great cookbook for someone just learning to cook. I think a college student, a newlywed, or anyone suddenly doing all the cooking would learn a ton. For more experienced cooks, you'll appreciate the color photos and the simple dessert ideas. I think easy cooking and easy baking are entirely different, so the easy dessert recipes felt more impressive. |

I really like watching Tasty videos on Facebook. But a lot of the time I don't bother writing down recipes and making them. I like using cookbooks better. This book is very convenient for this. The step-by-step instructions and photos are very useful to anyone who is a visual learner, a beginner or maybe a cook who needs a bit of confidence. For such a short book (90 pages), there is a good variety of recipes, a lot of which I'll try. I also appreciated that equivalences are given for all measurements so there is no need to look anything up. |

If you love the Tasty recipes, you will really enjoy this cookbook. Beautiful pictures and step by step instructions of all the recipes. So easy to navigate through the ebook via the index as well. Even the beginner cooks will find this book extremely easy to follow. Measurements are in both Metric and Imperial so no conversion is necessary. I am sure anyone who purchases this book will agree to loving it as soon as they open it up. This is the perfect cookbook for me, an untrained, but curious cook. I hate the cookbooks that go on and on about the emotional ties that the authors has to this recipe or that ingredient. Not to be rude -- but I don't really care how this recipe makes you feel -- just show me a decent picture of it so I know whether or not I'm failing. Sometimes cookbooks feel like a drag. Then, Tasty videos entered my life and revitalized my interest in cooking. The steps are easy to follow and spell it all out for you in full detail. This book, while not an official Tasty title, does well to honor its inspiration, and features easy-to-make recipes that look, well, tasty. I look forward to spending some time in the kitchen with this one. |

Grandioso libro di ricette dove queste ultime vengono spiegate passo passo ed il risultato finale sembra più buono che bello, inoltre gli ingredienti sono facili da trovare e anche io credo di potercela fare stavolta! Oh my! The photos in this book will make your mouth water. I am tempted to try almost everything. It’s no surprise the book is called tasty. I love all the fresh vegetables in this book. So you can judge for yourself, I’m sharing some of the recipes you will find in this book: jam-filled crepes; fresh blueberry pancakes; fruits with triple ginger sauce; rich French toast; creamy scrambled eggs on English muffins; cheddar bacon muffins; bacon, cheese and onion quiche; egg and cheese breakfast burrito; crunchy roasted chickpeas; garlicky white bean dip; never soggy nachos; panko popcorn shrimp; zesty marinated olives; Tuscan vegetable soup; Asian inspired cucumber salad; multicolored tortellini salad; Nicoise salad; open-faced croque monsieur; griddled Thai chicken sandwiches; kickin’ quesadillas; naan mini pizzas; spaghetti carbonara; your new go-to mac and cheese; loaded stir-fry rice; twice-baked stuffed russets; breadcrumb-topped stuffed tomatoes; not-quite kitchen-sink stir-fry; easy free-form meatloaf; classic roast chicken; true shepherds pie; sole meuniere; triple threat chocolate cupcakes; gingery pear crisp and almost like mom’s apple pie. This is a definitely a cookbook worth trying. |

Thank you, Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book --- as people who follow me know, I do not regurgitate what the book is about as that is what the description from the author and publisher at the top of the page are for. I have never seen the Tasty channel (show?) on YouTube as I am too busy looking at cute little cats :-) These recipes are simple, easy to do (the photos and instructions take you through step by step) and look very tasty. I am going to look for a few to try this weekend, in fact! If you love to cook but are not good at it, I recommend this book! |

The recipes used everyday easy to source ingredients and they were accompanied by pictures similar to step by step guides, which were great quality. I think this book is ideal for beginners or people who want everyday recipe ideas. |

I must confess I had not heard of the Tasty YouTube channel or its popularity, but if it's encouraging young people to cook then that's great! This book is really aimed at beginners, with lavishly illustrated step-by-step recipes and LOTS of photos, for example - photo of raw ingredients, then photo of ingredients in mixing bowl, in pan, in oven, as served etc. While I'm not the target reader for this book I do appreciate that it would make a fantastic gift for students, young or first-time homemakers, or really anyone who appreciates such basic instructions. The recipes are good, seem fairly healthy and featuring many everyday items such as meatballs, mac and cheese through to apple pie. As a first cookbook, what's not to like? One of our cooking teachers stopped by the library today and we had fun discussing new cookbooks, especially I LOVE TASTY by Catrine Kelty. If you are not familiar with the Tasty website, have a look. I was introduced to the delicious recipes there by my 20-something children and I think this cookbook is a great fit for that same group. I LOVE TASTY, the unofficial cookbook, is filled with images and easy to follow recipes perfect for the beginning cook – much like the website itself. I really liked that the process is photographed as well as the final dish. Just a few favorites from the cookbook include "Good Morning Breakfasts" with Cinnamon-Chocolate Chip Muffins, "All Kinds of Vegetable Dishes" with Zucchini Pancakes, and comfort foods like True Shepherd’s Pie or Flaky Chicken Potpie in the "Meat, Poultry and Fish for Dinner" section. These 100 or so basic recipes are all relatively easy with a limited number of familiar ingredients and provide a wonderful opportunity to explore for new cooks. Looking for other cookbook ideas? Don’t forget Good and Cheap by Leanne Brown – my colleague checked that one out, too. Everybody loves those Tasty food videos that people love to paste on Facebook; they are created by Buzzfeed, and show step-by-step instructions for making delicious dishes in less than a minute. The only problem is that it’s hard to follow them without pausing, and most of us have to go back and watch them over and over. That’s why I Love Tasty; The Unofficial Cookbook is so nice. Catrine Kelty has captured the videos and given step-by-step instructions on a written page, so when we prepare those tempting dishes, we don’t have to watch it over and over and pause it. It’s nice too, to have the ingredients and instructions on a written page. Actually, I Love Tasty; The Unofficial Cookbook is just a regular cookbook with lots of pictures of instructions, but because the recipes are like the ones we get on Facebook, it makes it more fun. This cookbook is a winner! There are recipes here for everyone, and most are quick and easy. The photographs are well-done, and the book is well-organized. There are appetizers, salads, main dishes, side dishes, and desserts, so no matter what the occasion, there is a recipe that will fit. The best part, of course, is that the recipes actually turn out like the pictures, and they actually taste good. Some recipes introduce time-saving shortcuts that busy cooks will use again and again. The Asian-Inspired Cucumber Salad is delicious and goes well with the Griddled Thai Chicken Sandwiches for a complete lunch or light supper. Other excellent recipes include yummy Cheddar Bacon Muffins, Naan Mini Pizzas, Ham and Cheese Cauliflower Gratin, and Panko Baked Chicken Cutlets. There is an easy stir-fry, juicy turkey burgers, and even a shortcut chicken pot pie. The recipes are geared to cooks with little or no experience, but will also appeal to those who have more advanced skills. I Love Tasty is fun, and would make a great gift. Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book. |

I love this book. The simple, clear and concise presentation of the recipes make them easy to follow and encourages you to give them a try. The food maybe be easy to make but they look tantalising and as the title suggests tasty. Perfect addition to the bookshelf for students, new cooks or rusty ones. |

Thanks to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Harvard Common Press for the opportunity to read and give an honest review of this book. |

Great cooking book where the recipes are explained step by step and the results look more interesting and tasty than beautiful, plus the ingredients are noting extraordinary and since the beginning I really believed that even I could make it in the end! |

I found the title for this book was definitely appropriate as I have made a few of the recipes, as has my teenage Daughter, and they were easy to follow and were certainly tasty. It contains an excellent mixture of breakfast, snack, soups, vegetable dishes, dinners, desserts and drinks so something for everything. |

Review of an advance digital copy from the publisher. |

Tasty recipes are always my favorite, so when I saw a cookbook full of them I had to try it out. The I Love Tasty unofficial cookbook by Catrine Kelty was packed full of great, easy recipes. Emphasis on the easy. Those are my favorite kind of recipes. As a single mom I am constantly running. Finding good, healthy, well-balanced meals for my house that fit into our chaotic schedule is key to us eating well. I Love Tasty was the perfect cookbook for my family. Full of recipes of all different kinds and for all different tastes, everyone in the family will have a favorite in no time. Whether you have a house full or you are an individual, these recipes can be tweaked to fit whatever number you are trying to serve. If you want something delicious, yet easy to make with well-known ingredients, then this is the cookbook for you. Check it out! |
