There are times that I pick up a book and know from the first chapter that I don't want it to end and this is one of them! When I started Take It In I wasn't sure what to expect. Whilst I enjoy both self help and spirituality books I wasn't sure which way this book was going to lean more but it turned out to be the perfect balance of both and I love that.

The book is written in such a beautiful way that's it's like a friend is talking to you. The book is a lovely way to focus on inner work and understand how truly knowing yourself can benefit your life in so many ways. The author has a great writing style that shows the vast depth of knowledge she has and makes the spirituality included in the book so easy to understand and achievable without it being too over the top for a beginner or too weird (though I'd happily read a more OTT version but I know for some people spirituality topics can seem quite unbelievable as it is if this is your first look at it!)

I love how each chapter has a different focus and the stories in them of the authors experience are so fascinating to read through the humorous, quirky and fun writing style she has and how interesting it is when she highlights the spirituality in the experience and how it can help the reader. The exercises to try out in each chapter are a great way to get a deeper understanding of how you can improve your life by implementing new practices or recognising and working through issues with the help of the prompts in the book.

I loved this book and how it blended self help and spirituality perfectly. It is the perfect book as an introduction to a more spiritual life as it makes everything so easy to understand and purposeful and not only can it improve your life and bring more awareness to your inner self but it's also a very interesting and entertaining read. The authors personality and passion shines through the pages of the book and leaves you not wanting to put the book down! I'd love to read more from this author in the future.
