Description
TWO ENCHANTING NOVELLAS, INSPIRED BY CLASSIC FOLK AND FAIRY TALES
The Bonny Swan: Felice, the miller’s daughter, has a gift for healing. So when she and her father pull an injured girl from their millpond, Felice readily nurses her back to health. But her new patient has a past she cannot remember—and secrets that haunt her dreams. Seeking to unravel the mystery, Felice and her family find themselves entangled in a web of intrigue, deception, jealousy… and murder.
Every Goose A Swan: Orphaned as a child, despised by her bitter grandfather, Tallie grows up lonely and neglected. But even poor orphans can dream—and one day, Tallie receives the chance to make at least one dream come true. Accompanied by her best friend, Silas the gooseherd, she sets off to attend the festival honoring the Crown Prince’s homecoming. But what starts as a light-hearted excursion becomes the adventure of a lifetime when a handsome stranger joins them on the road. Will Tallie find the courage to claim her rightful place and the happy ending she deserves?
A TWIST IN THE TALE 2 brings new insights and fresh perspectives to familiar tales like “The Twa Sisters” and “Tattercoats.” This collection also includes a bonus short story and an additional epilogue to Every Goose A Swan.

A cool twist on lesser known, compelling fairytales - very Grimm-Brothers'-esque. The mysteries unfolding and the more modern focus on friendship versus romance, while still keeping the overall 'late European fairy tale' feel makes for an engaging read.

A Twist in the Tale 2 by Pamela Sherwood is such a good story... I totally recommend everyone to read this book as fast as they can because it's really good and the characters are fantastic.

This collection has two sweet fairy tale novellas and two much shorter stories; all four pieces are as well-written as I've come to expect from Sherwood! There's a lilting, historical-ish, classic fairy tale flavour to the writing that really suits the tone of the retellings, and some lovely characters moments. I definitely recommend to fans of traditional retellings.
