You may remember only a couple of weeks ago, I dove into the first book in this Tribes Of The Vampire series, reading Redeemer Of Shadows.
It was my first read by this author and I absolutely ate it up!!

Moving swiftly on to this second book in the series - I couldn't believe that this was ready for me to go into almost back to back and so settled back into this world almost instantly!

I'd expected us to follow straight on from book 1 but we actually follow new characters here and it was great to see more of the vampire council and learn much more of the history that was previously hinted at.

Jaden has trained her whole life to hunt vampires. As a dhampir herself, she possesses abilities that lend themselves to hunt and kill.
But when a mission goes wrong, the council sends Dark Knight Tyr to punish her - but are the crimes all hers? And can the pair ignore the feelings that start to develop between them?

This was so fast paced and we jump right into the action from the first page.
Jaden and Tyr are pure enemies, but there's something there right from their first meeting and that push and pull and the slow burn wanting (mainly on our part!) was just brilliant to read.

I loved that we were kept guessing for quite a portion of the story and even when we saw a softening in the relationship, there'd be twists and turns that left me questioning what the truth was.

Alongside the romance we followed both the mystery of the crimes and issues with the council laws - I can't say much more about that - but this combination meant that there wasn't one minute ute where there wasn't something happening and pushing us forward through the pages.

I had the best time reading this and I'm excited for the release of book 3 - coming soon, I believe.
A brilliant series so far and I'm so glad I came across this author's work.

I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers book with the added complication of one being a vampire hunter and the other being a vampire.

Jaden is a dhampir who has spent her life hunting and killing vampires for her uncle...until Tyr. When he enters her life, everything she thought she knew is called into question.

The romance in this book was nice and spicy, but it didn't detract from the rest of the story and the development of both Jaden and Tyr's characters.

I'm looking forward to reading more from this series.
