Description
Is your child getting ready to visit the dentist? This book is perfect for preparing little dino-lovers for dental visits while making brushing and flossing fun!
Brush every day to keep the dinosaurs away ...
Noah loves to snack, but so do the silly dinosaurs hiding in his teeth! They’re chomping on every crumb they can find, and there’s only one team that can stop them: the Dinosaur Catchers.
Join Noah on a wild, laugh-out-loud trip to the dentist, where he’ll need courage, curiosity, and a little imagination to send those dinos packing. With X-rays, water jets, floss lassos, and dino-sized bravery, Noah discovers that visiting the dentist isn’t scary -- it’s actually DINO-MITE!

The Tooth-o-saurus by Nat Gibson is one of the most amazing kids’ picture books I’ve ever read. Illustrated by Dana Regan, it’s a great way to introduce youngsters to the dentist and set their minds at rest about what to expect. They’ll learn about all sorts of things, including X-rays, polishing, flossing, and everything else they need to know. This is a really fun, interactive story, and kids will learn how important it is to visit the dentist regularly. They’ll also learn how to make brushing their teeth fun, which will hopefully encourage them to do it without prompting – after all, no one wants a mouth full of dinosaurs! The final page is a visual overview of everything they have learned, and all the important equipment needed to banish the dinosaurs for good. A fabulous story, highly recommended reading for every child and not just at home; this is perfect for schools and kids’ reading groups, too.

This was such a great way to introduce my sweet but skittish dino-obsessed toddler to the concept of the dentist. The book was written sk fun and whimsically but touched on each aspect of a dental appointment to help alleviate the associated anxiety. It was written really well and the illustrations were so cute. Fantastic job addressing something that typically causes big scary feelings for kids!

Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read and review The Tooth-o-saurus.
This book is absolutely adorable! The illustrations are bright, engaging, and perfectly suited for little readers—especially those who love dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are sweet and friendly rather than scary, which makes the story feel comforting and approachable.
I especially loved how the book introduces children to the dental process in a fun and non-intimidating way. For any child who may feel nervous about going to the dentist, this story does a wonderful job of familiarizing them with what to expect. I appreciated that the different dental tools are clearly shown and explained in simple, kid-friendly language. Giving each tool a purpose helps remove some of the mystery that can make dental visits overwhelming.
Another standout feature is the thoughtful text design. Certain words are emphasized and printed in color, which not only draws attention to important vocabulary but also enhances engagement for early readers and listeners.
Overall, The Tooth-o-saurus is a charming and practical read that blends fun dinosaur energy with helpful preparation for a real-world experience. A great addition to any home or classroom library!

This book was everything and more of what I expected. My son is 2 and needs to go to the dentist so this was a perfect intro for him. The illustrations were fun and colorful. It walked him through what to expect and that brushing is important. Loved it!
Thank you #NetGalley and the publisher for the read of this children’s book in return for my honest opinion and review of this book.
I absolutely adored this book! It is an outstanding resource for tackling one of the most common childhood anxieties: the fear of visiting the dentist. The book does a wonderful job of demystifying the dental visit, explaining the process and introducing healthy teeth habits in a way that is both educational and reassuring for young readers. It is truly perfect for any child, serving as a gentle and effective tool to promote excellent oral hygiene and, most importantly, to completely alleviate the apprehension associated with the dentist's office.

5 stars!!
I absolutely LOVED this book! So creative using dinosaurs and dino catchers to make the dentist less scary for children. I loved that they also explained the entire process to Noah in a super unique way to really visualize the whole process. I adored the art as well, so bright and fun! I liked that the book kind of gave a summary of all the tools and steps used to clean his teeth and provide preventative tips. I would definitely read this book with my son when dentist time comes around!

I thought that this was a fun book to read! The story was well written and it was easy to read and understand and I loved the way that the story used dinosaurs to talk through each of the different steps involved with seeing a dentist from the initial check with the mirror, through to x-rays and getting a clean to catch any naughty hiding dinosaurs! I know my daughter found it really daunting on her first visit. The illustrations in the book were great, they were nice, bright and colourful and they brought the story to life too. It should be a must for every dentist waiting room to alleviate any feeling of worry or anxiety. It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!
