From puppyhood adventures to one final snoot boop, One Last Snoot Boop tells the story of Cuthbert, a mischievous and loyal family dog whose life is filled with love, laughter, and daily walks.

As Cuthbert grows older and his steps begin to slow, JJ and Matt must face the difficult moment every pet family eventually encounters-saying goodbye.

As an educator and animal lover, it breaks my heart when one of my students shares with me that they have lost a pet. It can be a very difficult thing for an elementary school-age child to deal with.

One Last Snoot Boop: The Story of a Good Dog is a beautifully written and illustrated book, told in simple rhyming verse, that gives it a lighthearted feel. It tells the story of a puppy named Cuthbert from the time he was brought home, throughout his life and adventures with his family, to the point where it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge. As Matt and JJ are with him to say goodbye, Cuthbert leans in for one last "snoot boop."

This book tackles the sensitive and emotional topic of a lost pet with compassion and grace and would be a great read for any child (with parent guidance) who has lost a pet.

Thanks to the author and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Truly comforting illustrations paired with an equally compelling rhythmic tale about a sweet puppy’s life. I might have shed a tear or two!

This is likely to become a treasured favourite amongst families for its beautiful imagery and gentle way to broach a serious subject.
