I received an ARC from John Murray Business on NetGalley and this is my honest review.
This entry into the 7 lessons series is a whistlestop tour into improving time management. Targeted at office based professionals, this book is framed around 7 specific areas of focus to make and manage time for greater efficiency in work.
This book barely scratches the surface of time management, which is a good thing. As a sampler, the lessons contained within are concise, well written and accompanied by real world application examples to aid the reader with taking the tips contained into their own lives. It is simply written, with no pretentiousness and is accessible to all.
I have operated in this sphere for some time now, and despite having what I would call a pretty robust set of techniques for managing my time, there were still a few things I managed to take away. Whether I would have purchased the book for a few grains of wisdom is a question I would probably answer no to. However, starting out, this book would've been a great read to help me hit the ground running.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is entering a world of work where it seems that the workload is never ending and the time is never enough. For others who have been around a while, there may be something new to consider, or at the very least, remind you of a few tools you can use.
