I just love reading books by Steph. I know that she’s going to give me a banter-filled, cozy Romantasy while also making me feel every emotion on the spectrum.

TNAHF is the second in Steph’s interconnected standalone series and not only explores new lands but deep emotions and difficulties. We follow a dual POV from our MCs, Sera and Alex. Cursed, all Sera wants to do is rid herself of her nightly frustration and find her way back home. But when the friend of her best friend’s husband sets his sights on her, Sera finds herself in a deeper predicament than she thought: one of the bound kind.

After accidentally falling into the fae world with Sera, Alex can only hope to win her heart. I found SUCH beauty and sorrow in Alex’s hardships with addiction and heartbreak, but I also loved how he continued to push past his addiction by putting Sera before himself and his craving over and over. I also enjoyed seeing Sera break through her walls and fears to find acceptance and love, not just from others but also herself. And I’m SO eager to see who is next up in book three and I am deciding between two ladies! 🤭 I also adored getting to see Rae and Kian again!

The Night and His Flame is such a swoony, banter filled romantasy! This Swan Princess meets Snow White reimagining follows Sera and Alex through dual POV, and their journey together, cursed by an enchantress, tangled up in fated mates, and pulled into the fae realm, kept me completely hooked. Alex's struggle with addiction added such raw emotional weight, and watching him fight to put Sera first over and over made him so easy to root for. Sera's own journey through fear and self acceptance felt just as satisfying, and getting to see Rae and Kian again was a lovely bonus for series fans. Fated mates, slow burn to medium spice, epic yearning, found family, he falls first and SO hard, this book delivers on every beloved trope while still surprising with genuine plot twists. A tender, emotional standalone with real heart. Already excited to see who's next in book three!
