Meet Me in London is the perfect escape that you will not be able to put down and likely will read in just one sitting. The story sweeps you away with it's lovely, flow and it's strong and relatable characters. It's a book to read curled up in front of the fire or in the bath, as it's like one big warm hug. Really nice and easy read.

Meet Me in London, is full of warmth and hope!

Victoria works in a Chelsea bar but her passion and love is designing vintage clothes. Her dream of having her own space to sell her own designs. When one night in her bar she meets Oliver, a successful business man that appears to have it all. Oliver needs Victoria's help, so he has a deal for her.
What happens when this deal starts to feel very real? Will they both be able to work through their pasts and walls they have both put up, in order to have a better future?

I have found myself so invested in these characters, Georgia has made me want to go to the nearest haberdashery (even though I wouldn't be anywhere near as talented as Victoria!), I want to be best friends with Victoria.... and I would like to know where I can find myself an Oliver please.

Congratulations to Georgia on a wonderful debut! & I hope they are many more!

I can't explain how excited I was to find out Georgia was teaming up with M&B to create the perfect Christmas romance and I can confirm, they most definitely, did not disappoint! Set in Georgia's own hometown of Chelsea, we follow the life of Victoria - bar girl and fashion designer. I loved Victoria immediately, with her fashion sense being suited to the 50's - a time and place I would have loved to have experienced myself - along with the fact that she taught underprivileged future teenage designers in her spare time, whilst also working her shifts at the bar AND designing her own stunning bridal collection on top of all that!

Victoria and Oliver's first meeting was a mixture of amusing and really cute - billionaire to the latest store opening up in their local area, Oliver was desperate to get his mother off of his back when it came to relationships, causing him to lie that he had a fiance, which then led to him proposing to Victoria after his immediate fascination and attraction towards her. I absolutely adore fake dating tropes, so when Victoria and Oliver agreed to their fake engagement, in order to make one another happy, I was so excited to see their fake relationship grow in to something real and magical.

You could say Meet Me in London is a nice, quick, light-hearted, easy read, however, Georgia didn't shy away from focusing on some difficult issues as well such as infertility and the loss of a loved one. I found myself resonating with Victoria a lot more than I thought I would, with her love for the 50's and inability to believe somebody could possibly accept me and my traits - good and bad. Oliver handled Victoria's situations as every man should and he really does have the most generous and kindest of hearts. A fictional man you can easily fall in love with. Both characters impacted one another's lives in more ways than one and it was clear as day that this was meant to happen.

I couldn't get enough of Victoria and her best friends either - whilst this book focuses on the possible love between Victoria and Oliver, I think the true love also lied within that friendship group. The tragedy and trauma those four girls went through created a bond nobody could ever understand but them. They have stuck together through and through, even when there was open doors to leave and I couldn't have loved them more if I tried.

An absolutely stunning story filled with empowering friendships, chemistry that can't be ignored and the most wonderful set of characters you could ever ask for. Plus, the whole story is set at Christmas - who cares if we're in July, give me all the snow!

A feel good romance!

With the lead up to the festive season Ollie is feeling the pressure of not only getting the family store ready for opening day but the mounting pressure from his parents to settle down. To get them off his back and for some breathing space he makes an off the cuff remark that he is engaged. However, he now needs to find someone to fill the role to meet his parents at the store grand opening.

Meet Victoria, an an aspiring fashion designer. With a broken heart and a past accident taking forefront in her life she finds it hard to trust and swears off men and love.

Ollie bumps into Victoria at her works and they strike up a friendship of sorts. He then asks her to be the stand in as fiance and she agrees as he offers to help her work wise. As feelings surface the boundaries blur as these two get closer; as the countdown to the pretence mounts as they both realise it will soon all be over.

A light easy read which will have you hooked. I was rooting for a happy ending for the lead characters.

Be prepared for your heart to swell as you fall in love with Oliver and Victoria.

This is a lovely, well written romance story, a debut from the author (which I didn’t know until after reading and it did surprise me as it was so good!)

The main characters are both likeable and as the story progresses you become intertwined in their lives. You feel their pain, you enjoy their triumphs and will there to be a happy ending!!

It’s an easy but enjoyable read, one you won’t want to put down as the story of the characters lives unravel.

A must read for all. Be prepared to devour in just one sitting!

Thank you to Netgallery, the publishers and most importantly the author, for the chance to read this book, in exchange for an honest review.

This book was just a sheer pleasure to read. The main character Victoria is just so likeable and I loved the descriptions of her dressmaking and haberdashery shopping missions; this is my own personal interest but it is also very popular with many women currently. Oliver was an immediately likeable hero too, straightforward and honest with no bullying alpha-male tendencies which is a relief as in too many novels the man can be too domineering. I liked the friendship element too and will look forward to reading the stories of the other girls if they areas readable as this one. This is an ideal novel to read in the run up to Christmas as it is seasonal without being over the top and gives you that warm sentimental feeling that everyone needs at that time of year. Thoroughly recommended and very giftable to friends who like reading happy books!

Loved it!

I'm a thriller girl through and through, but every now and again I like a good girly read. Something light, and fresh. This was that book, and I was not disappointed!

Everyone loves a good Mills and Boon, and the fact it was Georgia Toffolo writing it was also a plus on the cheese scale.... Or so I thought. It was actually a really good, thoughtful read. I enjoyed the story - it's been done before in some form or another, but the way it was written was fresh and exciting - I enjoyed the characters and the way they interacted with each other. Some deeper things are touched upon, but not enough to drag the book down, it stays light and charming right through to the end.

I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a bit of an escape and innocent, heart warming fun.

Toff’s bubbly personality really comes through in this book, and I enjoyed reading it.
Oliver and Victoria strike a deal which will benefit both of them, both are warm, likeable characters, although Oliver does seem to allow his overbearing mother to rule his life. Oliver’s father is ill and his mother would like to see him settled in life. Victoria agrees to a ‘pretend’ relationship, but wants nothing more serious due to an accident which happened several years ago.
As the story unfolds, the sizzling chemistry between the charismatic couple leaps off the page amidst lots of mishaps and humour. This is light hearted romantic escapism at its best. Georgia Toffolo’s dialogue is crisply entertaining, keeping you absorbed in the story without being overly sentimental.
Although the increasing love interest between Oliver and Victoria is the main focus, relationships with Oliver’s family and Victoria’s long-standing friends feature throughout. Also, some serious issues are explored along the way. A great all-rounder, this is a richly entertaining book to enjoy. Highly recommended, or in Toff’s dialogue ‘a freakin’ good read’!

Oh I simply love a cosy, wintery romance. Even though I read this during summer, I still felt cosy and snuggled throughout the read. The book really feels like a hug and it was just a pure joy to read. So I was a bit wary of reading this, especially around whether the writing style would be decent. I need not have feared, this is well written, easy to read and at the end of the day, when the plot is this charming does it really matter.

The plot is simply lovely, very festive and nicely balanced against life events and the emotion and angst that comes with this. The plot is not full of twists and is obvious but it does not matter when it leaves you feeling happy and satisfied that you have read a charming romance. Sometimes all you need is a bit of happiness.

The characters are wonderful too, very likeable, realistic and I shared their enthusiasm and joy for their lives. Victoria and her friends felt like mine by the end of the read and Oliver is just a great character whom I could envisage.

'Meet Me In London' is the perfect winter romance. Get snuggled up and cosy with this joy of a read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Mills & Boon for an advance copy.

This has to be one of my favourite reads this year. From the first page to the last I was hooked. I loved the main characters especially Victoria who, with the help of Oliver and her three friends, was able to regain her confidence and look forward to her future

Victoria is a talented dress designer and lover of vintage fashion. Oliver is working towards opening another large store for his family firm. When Victoria agrees to be his pretend girlfriend things really get interesting

What an absolute dream of a debut!

Victoria is a hustler. She works long hours in a bar to supplement her income as she develops her design collection and teaches fashion to underprivileged kids. She is also 1 quarter the most badass group of girlfriends since Sex and the City. She has a secret about the effects of a horrifying car crash on her and the reactions of previous relationship partners has meant that to protect herself from this is in the future, she has built a rather large wall around her heart.

Oliver is the boss of a major department store chain – think Selfridges – who is reluctantly taking up the helm of the family business to allow his father to rest following an illness. The tough part is, Oliver has his own dreams that this job is keeping him from. He doesn’t know what those dreams are yet but he certainly knows what they are not! Add to that his meddling mother who is parading scores of eligible young women his way in an attempt to marry him off and he is about at his wits end.

So when he promises that he will bring his fiancée to a family event with no such person in his life, he has to find one and fast!
It is at this point that he meets Victoria and what starts as a mutually beneficial deal soon becomes something much more meaningful. Can Oliver put his long held belief that he doesn’t do relationships aside for her? And can Victoria be honest about herself with the man she loves and risk rejection all over again.

This book is not only a fun and flirty romance with all the escapism, as one would expect from Toff, of a wealthy life in Chelsea. But more than that, this book is about recognising your worth just as you are and not holding yourself accountable to the expectations of others. It is about finding your dreams and living the life that makes you happy. And most of all, the strongest current throughout this book, is that of strong female friendship. That ride or die friendship that is so unique to women. Unconditional, honest and sometimes challenging but above all else, supportive and loving.

I loved this book and I will be happy to add the paperback to my favourites collection upon publication.

I really loved this book. Victoria and Oliver’s romance was so sweet and simple but the story had so many more elements than just that. The characters and the way they met was believable and relatable and I really enjoyed the way that Victoria’s past was explained and carried on throughout the book. The difficult subjects were dealt with sensitively and helped to give the characters a greater sense of realism. Would definitely recommend.

A book full of relationships!
I really enjoyed this book - I loved the characters, the families, and the friends, and all the different relationships and especially the romantic developments between Oliver and victoria.
I would definitely recommend this as a Christmas read - but I think you may read it too quickly. Sit back and enjoy it for true romance and a happy ending

Wow what an absolutely amazing book. I was hooked from the very beginning. I loved every about it and all the characters except Peter 😂. I’m absolutely gutted I’ve finished as I wanted it to continue. Well done Toff you did absolutely fantastic with your first book. Hope there’s more to come from you as your ridiculously talented.

Victoria dreams of becoming a dress designer and spends all her spare time designing and making clothes and encouraging teenagers to do the same. A department store opening in her neighbourhood threatens to ruin local businesses until she meets Oliver, the son of the owner. A feel good romance, hard to put down, predictable but totally enjoyable, as Victoria fights the demons from her past and falls in love.

I was thrilled to have both the audiobook and ebook version of this story. The audiobook is narrated by Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo and she really brings the story to life. I could listen to her all day, everyday!

I just loved this book, I was drawn in from the beginning. It's like being on a fluffy cloud, snugged up with a warm feeling running over you. It's a lovely, romantic novel. You know it's going to happen, you just don't know when! But the journey getting there is always the fun part.

I really enjoyed the story. The background to both the main characters was interesting. Him, maybe predictable, rich guy with a workaholic and ill father and a mother wants him married off!

But her background is so different, which is what makes this stand out! Both don't want another relationship! So to stop his mother interfering anymore, they agree to be fake fiance's!

"What could possibly go wrong? Just about everything."
