Advance Praise

“Paul Rodriguez is not a sleep doctor. Instead he is office based and performs tasks which require good quality sleep to stay focused. Like many of us, Paul suffered from sleep problems and this affected his work and quality of life. Breathless Sleep...no more is not just Paul's account of his journey to getting a good night's sleep. It is an account of the tools to help you get a good night's sleep.

Read Paul's sleep studies and observe what happened when he made simple changes to his breathing. I believe the best solution to health problems is learning and adopting practices that truly help us. Breathless Sleep...no more does just that.”
—Patrick McKeown. Author, The Oxygen Advantage

“..the author pulls in readers as he capably describes his own journey to better sleep. The personal case study makes compelling reading for those suffering from sleep apnea, especially those who continue to search for answers on how to alleviate their condition”

I’ve been obsessed with my sleep patterns since I’ve learn so much about why we need sleep. This guy really did his research and told a very well rounded description of his journey of not wearing a CPap. Half the people I know use one and I hope I never need one.
He talks often about Buteyko Breathing Technique. Its a form of complementary or alternative physical therapy that proposes the use of breathing exercises. For him this was quite affective.
Lots of helpful advice backed up by facts. I would highly recommend this book.

Thank you NETGALLEY and the publisher for this ARC, in exchange for my honest review. ♥️

Paul Rodriguez’s story of suffering with and eventually successfully treating sleep apnea was informative. I’m still not sold on the Buteyko Breathing Method he describes, but I am curious to learn more, and he has provided references to assist me in doing so.

The text was understandable although unnecessarily wordy. I would have preferred fewer acronyms, although the author does define his terms on first use and again in a glossary included in the end matter. He also includes some of his medical records in the appendices, as well as endnotes.

I wouldn’t read this for entertainment, but if you or your partner snores or has sleep apnea, you might find this helpful. Note that the author is Australian and uses Australian English.

I was provided an unproofed ARC through NetGalley that I volunteered to review.
