This is a book about how to achieve a bestselling book on Amazon (the "world's largest online retailer" in the title). It's not a book about how to hit the NYT best seller list or the Sunday Times bestseller list.
As with Dale's other books, the advice is punchy and easily something you can do. He also distills the book down into some key bullet points at the end so you can start planning/organising your launch plan. This isn't an optional extra if you'd like people to buy and read your book. With so much content out there, you need to market in order to persuade people to buy/read your book rather than someone elses.
Practical and helpful, the tips Dale gives would, I hope, transfer over to other platforms if your publishing strategy is to distribute to lots of platforms rather than concentrating solely on Amazon. However, if you'd really like the "Amazon bestseller" title then you might be better off just focusing on this platform.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A very practical, step-by-step guide to success on Amazon with your published book. Definitely focused on self/indie publishing. This book is a great guide to authors just getting started with their publishing journey, whether they’re writing fiction or nonfiction.

As a first-time author to-be this book is incredibly helpful! The way the author breaks down the steps from assembling your ARC team all the way to what to do after your launch in an easy to follow way puts my mind at ease!

Interesting facts include:
"Yes, if an author wants their book to rank in the top 100 ebooks on Amazon (US), it typically requires selling thousands of copies in a day. To hit the #1 spot, you’ll need to sell around 6,390 copies within 24 hours."
"Once you have KIP Scout installed, you’ll need to enable it for incognito mode under the Settings for Extensions in your browser. Otherwise, it won’t work for how you will use."
"Look into MailerLite, Mailchimp, or any email marketing service provider that best aligns with your budget."
He likes MailerLite the best.
"Stick with sending the PDF or epub version of your ebook."
"Books2Read redirects to their native marketplaces."
"My preferred way to launch is through a limited-time discount on a pre-order or for the day after publishing."
"Services like StoryOrigin, BookFunnel, and Booksprout are premium author tools that distribute advance reader copies. Should you lack the funds to invest in their services, you can always consider distribution through free services like Payhip or Gumroad."
There are a lot more tips.
Buy the book to save you time and money.
