One thing I would have loved a little more of was the backstory of our main characters. There is so much history surrounding them that I could easily see novellas exploring their pasts and giving us even more context and character development. And honestly, I would happily read them!

As this is an ARC and the book hasn’t yet been published, I’m already eagerly awaiting book two. And judging by everything that has been set up here, I can quite easily see Fate of Blood & Flames becoming more than just a duology.

A promising start to what could be a seriously addictive fantasy series. Bring on book two! 🔥📚

Only Flames Remain by Michelle Frohman is an absolutely incredible fantasy romance that exceeded all of my expectations. From the very first chapter, I was completely immersed in a world filled with magic, political intrigue, dragons, and unforgettable characters.

Aveline is a strong, determined heroine whose journey is filled with impossible choices, and watching her challenge everything she thought she knew was captivating. Sorin is the perfect morally complex dragon prince—powerful, mysterious, and impossible not to fall in love with. Their chemistry is electric, and the slow-burn romance had me eagerly turning every page.

The world-building is rich without being overwhelming, the pacing is excellent, and the emotional moments hit just as hard as the action-packed scenes. I especially loved the themes of loyalty, destiny, and discovering the truth beyond appearances. Every twist kept me invested, and I couldn't stop reading.

Michelle Frohman has crafted a story that blends romance, fantasy, danger, and heart perfectly. Fans of enemies-to-lovers, dragon shifters, fated mates, political intrigue, and slow-burn romance will absolutely adore this book.

This was an easy five-star read for me, and I already can't wait to see what comes next. Highly recommended!

This book sucked me right in and I could not put it down! If you love enemies to lovers, one sent to kill the other to earn favor, secrets, lies, betrayal, fated mates, princes, dragons, magic, and political intrigue then you will love this. Everything you love in a romantasy is right here in this book. The world building is phenomenal as well.
